  1. please spare us the sarcasm.... There must be enough about yourself to be embarassed about for you to say some like that.
  2. Well , you know, I usualy stay out of the drama here and don't defent anyone that I don't know personaly. But in this case I will make an exception. Who the fuck are you to say something like that?
  3. 1st. I absolutly agree with you on that. 2nd. the funny thing is when i heard of it the 1st time , i thought of you, but dismissed it . Not that i think you couldn't make it. I've seen you dance and know you can. Mad props for doing it anyway. I bet , you got a good laugh out of it. 3rd. trained or not trained....if one doesn't have the talent or the feeling for the beats( and that also applies to all you "wanna be DJs" out there) all the training in the world is NOT gonna help you to convince an audience . And you Gabe.... you definately feel it.
  4. Maybe you can't ..... there's plenty of peeps out there that can.
  5. errrrr???????? " putting on a show" ????? What "show" is there to put on? The show of how he takes a vinyl out of the cover and puts it on the t-table or for that matter the cd in the player? Or is it the part when he moves the levels from one to the other side?....... Or am I missing something here? I don't know what you guys do all night , but I'm definately not spending my entire time watching a Dj doing just that. I'll be too busy watching where I step when I dance.
  6. I was back home in Germany in 2003, though I skipped the ,I assume last , Love parade<videotaped it though>, I went to Nature One instead. And quiet frankly I'm glad I did. The biggest event ever I attended. 50.000 in one night alone. That was overwhelming. I'm still feeding of the memory. Definately a lifetime experience for me. Yeah I must agree, when it comes down to massiv events, the Europeans have it down. America is soooooo far behind, too far , they'll never catch up.
  7. lol......sounds like a classical collition of tastes in styles.... house vs (psy) trance.....hey... who are we to judge about some ones taste? I, myself, like both. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't prefer one over the other at times. It all depends on the Dj , his particular choice of selection of tracks and his ability to beatmatch, which ultimatly is gonna make me wanna see him again and again. For instance.... Twice I saw/heard Felix now and the first time I kinda liked it. But the second time very dissappointed. So needless to say I won't spend my money on him anymore. Eventhough there's many people out there that love his style. But this is my personal choice, my taste and nobody should judge me for that, nor would I judge someone for liking him. And the same happens with certain Djs in the also many different styles of Trance...... This weekend , today , I think I'm gonna check out some Psy myself , @Exit in Bklyn So after I gave my 2 cents on that...... I hope someday (soon ) we all can get past that point of disliking/hating/putting down people etc....just because of the personal preferences in music. Besides that ..... I'm glad we have so many different to choose from. Imagin everybody would like the same stuff. First of all, all the places would be way to packed and second the world would be such a boring place. and on that note..... whatever style it might be for all of you tonight (or tomorrow) .... have fun... dance til you drop......
  8. Well I got ...ISTJ...."An Army of One"..??? LMAO.... But where you guys got all these percentage from? You didn't sign up for the membership, did ya?
  9. I see.... but yet Tech-House is something different , isn't it? Thnx
  10. Well of course , I speak for myself first. But I also know that there're more peeps like me still out there. Sorry that you feel that way about yourself, and yet there's nothing wrong with it either. It's still all the same, you just change the way you party. It's not about how much one can drink or how much other stuff one can do. It's the amount of fun and the satisfactory level that you reach at the end of the night/weekend. I'm pretty sure that sooner or later and probably sooner then I would want, I will reach a point too where I have to admit that things are slowing down. But until then......going strong..with still lots of energy left. Maybe I was just born with a unlimited set of Energizer Batteries... I don't know... ...
  11. well I assume it's the yearly 1st of May Party in Germany. One of the biggest events of the year, also like Nature One, Love Parade .... That's the only "Mayday" I know of.
  12. So? First of , you're not even at the legal drinking age yet. Second.... what do you think .... someone 10 years older then you is already "Old", doesn't have a right or need to have fun anymore and should stay home? You kids today have no idea. That's when the fun really starts. Young people nowadays think they need to party it up now, and do so until they drop. But it'll only last for a few years and then you're done. By the time you reach your mid twenties you're so done, you think you've seen it all. But don't realize you're missing the best fun yet to come. Moderation is the key. You're not missing anything if you skip a weekend and do some different then getting waisted. I can outparty any of you, anytime. Take it from an oldschooler, and any other true oldschooler, that's still around will most definately agree with me.
  13. Really?......mmmhhh...... what was so amazing about it? (honest question). Maybe I just don't understand the concept of this style. It all sounded to me like too much noise thrown together, like a somewhat organized caos of crazy soundeffects, with a wacko beat. And what category of house does it fall under? Honestly I wasn't too convinced about this set, I liked him better, when was it?, a month ago?
  14. That's even better then PvD@Central Park again..... wow, what a treat , a birthday present.... ain't that sweeeeeeeeeeet
  15. yo ....seriously tho....Sorry can't help it..... ....is it "hottest" as in good looking, or "hottest" as in good? If it's "hottest" as in good looking, then I must say this thread is as stupid as the one befor. " Who has the best fans?"........wtf?
  16. That's in the eye of the beholder. And depends in what scene you're floading around. I think a girl in jeans, sweatpants or baggy pants for that matter can be just as attractive and sexy (with more skin covered) then all these half naked chicks that should spare us the fat rolls and get off the freaking dancefloor cause they can't dance anyway with they're heels. And who is helped by a goodlooking crowd? The DJ ?? He's happy if you dance till you drop regardless of what you wear. But hey...... There's always enough people that go to clubs for other reasons then the music. The nightlife always has been like that and always will be. Thanks god we have so many choices. So that's my 2 cents.
  17. first of all befor I call you a smartass....... lets agree on a timeframe...... Where were you btw. 95-98?
  18. Back in the days they used to have Trapez artists, a guy on stilts, very talented female dancers , a handful of unique stylish Divas or Clubkids. That's what I liked about Webster Hall, besides the deep underground house.
  19. first ....."if you're a grown up".... wtf is that suppose to mean???? So, only kids go to other clubs? Last time I checked I've been a "grown up" for quiet some time, probably even since you were still learning how to use the potty. And I don't go to Webster anymore. The times when this place was to my likening are gone long time ago. ( this part does not pertain to you, luztidara ) second ....... Webster is the biggest tourist trap, and anyone who claims that Webster playes "Techno music" doesn't know wtf they're talking about anyway. MOLSON09 Go educate yourself befor you generalize the "Electronic/Dance music sector" as "TECHNO" . Webster doesn't play "TECHNO" Quiet frankly I'm pretty tired of these ignorant people . So that alone shows what kinda people go to Webster Hall. Now I'm NOT judging or hating , just merely making a statement. To each his own.... has always been my motto..... so don't come with that crap. The other thing that bothers me is ..... every style of music attracks a certain type of crowd. And from my experience some of these do not mix together. At Webster you have alot of different styles, which is good for business, from the owners perspective. To me as the customer, Not. At least at other places I only have to deal with maybe 1-2 different crowds, so, less opportunities for confrontation. And I know that most of the people come for the same music I like. Which gives it a more pleasant vibe because more people are on the same level.
  20. yeah that's 4sure after they'll spend some time in the briggs.
  21. I wish it was like that. They should research abit more again, then they'd know that by now unfortunately it's made of everything else but ..... .....but beside that.... The Military.......lmao
