I agree with you 100%. I make my own tracks also, haven't tried to release any yet, but I know exactly what you're saying. With me it's either download half of my shit, or stick with my 10 records a month i usually can afford. I'm not saying it's right, but with the love I have for music, I really give myself no choice.

I'm 25 yrs old, married, with a 5 year old daughter and one on the way. I don't have the $$$ to pay $12 for ONE track on vinyl. Don't get me wrong, I like vinyl better, and still buy when I have the extra cash, but I also take advantage of Soulseek & my cable modem. I also like the fact I can get any track without searching a million different record shops, and I also get it WAY before they do

I find it pathetic that KTU is NYC's "dance station". New York is pretty much the epicenter of dance music along with Miami. Why do I have to hear that stupid ass Usher & Lil John song everytime I put the radio on. It's not even a dance track, just like almost everything else they play. Thank god for soulseek and cd burners.
