thats what im saying, of course jp has a style n a certain crowd at sf PARTICULARLY..but even w/ same sorta ppl SPIRIT is not SF and its not 99', u cant act the same way in clubs now. not to say shit doesnt go on..but BLATANT...cmon now. if u ppl expect the same crowd, same party as in sf at spirit youre OUTTA ur mind. so i just tend to save my lip flappin till AFTER ive been /seen for myself.

YEAH UNFORTUNATELY for me i hate freestyle..so when i went a few yrs ago, tickets werent that expensive, sat in orchestra at jones beach...RAINED on us..but i had a good time. just went to concession for a pretzel when freestyle camE on GAG ME

there's about five million posts about this. cover's like 20-25 b4 130 on the clubplanet list. jp spins. hip hop upstairs. NEAT dress code, trendy but nothing too crazy- paris did the door last week. good party, all im saying lol

NOT EVERYONES tastes are PHASES...i dont go to spirit every week b/c i ONLY like jp, i go b/c i like the club, its where most of my friends are- which is the most imp. thing to me, besides good music- and i have a good time.i cant speak for everyone in the club, but like most of you say, jps fans are regulars. he DOES have a following..sometimes cultish, so when you go often , u find that u do know either by face/ name A GOOD portion of the ppl in the club. and i can honestly say, i know A WIDE AGE range of these ppl, and on other nites theyre at other clubs, following other dj's, they KNOW their talent. they go do crobar, n avalon, and other clubs to hear international talent and other djs. AND they know their shit. all im saying is, ive gotten to know a LARGE part of the ppl who ud all say r these mindless jp followers...and ud be surprised how many LOVE and go out to support other djs. they HAVE listened to music long enuf to know what else is out there...

i used to see him all the time at exit, and my friends didnt believe they were taps, im like I TOOK TAP FOR 17 yrs THAT MAN IS TAPPING LOL we went down there, i said SEEEEE and i even did a lil diddy w/ him...BRIEFLY lol i wish my gramps would come out n dance w/ me lol

nah pickles/ cole slaw is pretty standard....or so i've seen at every diner. i get a plate w/ two lil dishes of cole slaw and a few pickles...

cmon now keep the stereotyping to a minimum lol. i mean i wont argue jp has a def. recognizable LOOK to his crowd...but let me REMIND u ppl, spirit is NOT sf....and the crowd is DEF NOT the same. many of the same ppl, but im sorry, are YOU all wearing the same hairstyles/ clothes u were wearing 4-5 yrs ago?? not exactly. so YEA the same types follow jp, but having been there...n NOT being a fanatical jp worshipper like some , i can honestly say...the place is NOT OVERRUN w/ shirtless guidos. but ppl refuse to believe...as i notice...interestingly, the ppl who haven't gone. i couldnt care less who goes/ doesnt go, i enjoy it when i go, jp is good i don't have to think he's the best to have a good time. but don't get carried away w/ the whole " the entire crowd is spiky haired a/x shirt wearin guidos" bs...i speak first hand, and pretty damn unbiased lol

well i work sat, so fri nites are out...so one nite a weekend i get to go out...and most of my friends go to spirit. no matter what place it is, i'd rather chill with as many of them as possible when none of us live near each other really, and don't see each other much during the week , or at all. so yea, i do like the club, and the music is good, and everyone i wanna see is there...so THERE I AM lol. i meant by the security being RIDICULOUS is that...for once they were light on the searches at the door, then CRAZY inside,,w/ flashlights, searching ppl, throwing ppl out EVEN AFTER they didnt find anything, just to be assholes. thats annoying, but even so, its better to have them around w/ stupid DRUNKS start fights in vip, and guys get overagressive w/ girls lol.

i had a friend's party to go to this sat, n was NOT intending on goin to spirit...but of course...situation changes n there i am lol. all i can say is i thought it was a theme party and i missed the flyer...that place was BEYOND packed...5th week now and by far the most ppl. WHERE DID they come from?? music was good, security is RIDICULOUS in there, but i suppose better than crappy , had fun as always

yea pretty strict...and security is tight as hell too...though they dont bother you much inside the club.

not to be argumentative lol but i can vouch that HE HAS NOT played in your eyes every week...well at least not since sf shut down. i know, bc i LOATHE that song and get physically nauseous when i hear it,..i think last i heard it was at sf halloween. wasnt played every week at black, or tavern when he's there, and this is the first i heard it at spirit in 4 weeks and i ran for the hills. gti, first time at spirit was sat, but yea pretty much every week at black someone said they heard it. I BELIEVE IN LOVE? no i wish..one of my faves, DEF always at classics...but DEF not every week that i wouldnt mind hearing.

i think by acceptable he means THEY DO IT...its conceiveable to them to do that, and MANY ppl have driven after having one too many, but yet they TOTALLY look down on anyone who might experiment with drugs. i have friends like this and it makes me sick. i'm not saying if you're against drugs you're closed minded or ignorant..but the ones i mean are in that they'll criticize you for using drugs in moderation/recreationally and as responsibly as possible. and by that i mean NOT imposing urself on others, not getting mangled beyond being able to function and take care of yourself- yet THEY go out REGULARLY AND get OBLITERATED at some bar, CANNOT remember their nite, or how they got home, or who they were with and that, in their mind IS ACCEPTABLE. THATS my gripe. that just b/c its LEGAL to go out and drink urself into a stupor its ok, but someone else cant go out do some pills, or some g or watever, keep their wits about em and still be a " normal" person. ur a junkie in their mind. i personally dont like drinking, but in moderation i have NOTHING against it; no its not good for you, neither are drugs, or cigarettes blah blah but choose your risks and be smart about them. it just makes me so mad that ppl are so closed minded that just b/c its LEGAL to puff away 2 packs a day and drink god knows how much, however often thats fine but GOD FORBID u take drugs...ur the scum of the earth. whenever i get a lecture from any one of them i say..im sorry..how did u spend ur last saturday?? yakking in the gutter then stumbling around trying to find ur car until you realized someone TOOK your keys b/c ur INEBRIATED??? oh rite..yea..well i did a little of watever at a club, was sober when i left..and had a great time thanks lol

THIS IS TRUE that g is more deadly in that u can overdose much easier than say alcohol poisoning but id say if ur gonna talk bout car crashes..why arent ppl as up in arms about DRUNK driving as they are about these degenerate g users?? im not condoning anything im just saying, if youre gonna imply that ppl are mangled and driving and dying....the ALCOHOL abuse problem in this country related to accidents, violence, etc etc IS MUCH MUCH higher and much more grave. i think ppl should take their judgmental bs away from drugs for a lil while and concentrate on what LEGAL drugs are doing to this country. just b/c theyre ALLOWED doesnt mean theyre safe, in control, or good. just my .02
