Jim Wright (Tweak) and Ede Armand (New Bomb Era), in conjunction with Numark, DJ World, and Red Bull present “Rebuilding Paradise†The recent events in Louisiana and Mississippi are almost too devastating to comprehend. The pictures and video, as well as first hand accounts of the destruction and loss from Hurricane Katrina are both shocking and unsettling, and we have decided to do something. The people who have survived have lost everything in this tragedy… their family members, their homes, and their way of life. Ultimately, it is up to us to help. Originally the October 1 event was to be called “Beyond Paradiseâ€. Instead we have changed the name to “Rebuilding Paradise†in tribute to the task that is ahead of our brothers and sisters in this Hurricane ravaged region. “Rebuilding Paradise†will be a celebration in the tradition of all of the Paradise parties that have come before. Over 40 DJs will be performing in 3 rooms. Numark, DJ World, Red Bull and Urban Outfitters have signed on to help as well. One third of the revenue from the event as well as all revenues from door prize giveaways (raffle) will be donated to a charity that will help rebuild homes in the region.
