you can check out the radio1 site at bbc.co.uk, they have some short guest mixes from tiesto, morillo, etc...listen to pete tong's and judge jules' shows. i ripped the streams, although the quality is pretty shitty, morillo dropped some sick shit.

was at virgin this tuesday and picked up a bunch of albums, best of the bunch for me is steve lawler's lights out 2. some hot tracks on that one. def dark and dirty, some tribal on there as well. i also liked morillo's new cd, i know some people on here didn't like it that much, but it's pretty good.
i usually stick to livesets myself though, check out anything by the scumfrog, some nice dark nyc house, saw him at crobar last week and he was off the hook.

anybody checkin out crobar tonight, i've never seen scumfrog live but his live mixes are pretty sick. doesn't seem like there's a lot of buzz about tonight though.

nah he was def there, and he played some sick shit alllll night long, the music was def out of control. i don't know who i liked better him or bad boy bill actually. bad boy bill was also hot though, a nice change from the usual house you hear in the city. best part of the night was probably when green velvet sang the vocals live from the booth to la la land, that shit was awesome.
anyways i just woke up now, back to stuffin my face with food, that was a long ass night.

infusion is great, they have a cd coming out this new year too. their track legacy is one of the chillest songs i've ever heard, def a trio to watch.

wow what a night
the only booo of the night goes to me, since i got sick for nye, what an asshole i am, so i couldn't really stay as long as i wanted to
got there at like 11pm, went in at ten to midnight, did the the countdown and jp took off. im gonna say that i have my qualms with jp, he can be really good, or really bad, but tonight he was just on. while i was there, from 11 to 6, the music was totally off the hook. the highlight for me was when he played gti for about 20 mins, i was totally going nuts. can't blame him for playing any filler, at least when i was there, cause there wasn't any, he kept dropping hot track after hot track. played a lot of hard tribal shit, which was just my thing. def kept me moving all night long.
the only fuck you of the night goes out to how they ran the coat check, it took me literally an hour to get my coat at the end of teh night. the line was totally unorganized, people were cutting everywhere, and in addition it was like a million degrees in there.
otherwise awesome night, wish i had more room to dance but whatever, place was packed, and probably got more packed as i left, the line was down the block at 7 am to get in.

another one i heard dave aude play at avalon, this one has a female vocal saying something like i was at a discoteque in the 70s and people where saying, what is this shit they're playing, and i said this is house music baby, and now it's the new millenium and house music is still around...i know im kinda butchering it but that's the gist.
it'd be hot if someone knows what these are.

i actually had a blast last night. i can't really say that im a huge bad boy bill fan, i like the guy and woulda had a good time if he was there, but i can't say that i was really disappointed when they told us he couldn't make it. they told us at the door john creamer was spinning and if it was actually him he did a great job. just the type of prog house that i love and plenty of room to dance and move around. i would say the club was prolly like 1/3 full so there was def room to dance. anyways, had a great time, but wtf is with the $10 long island ice teas? and it's not just avalon to blame, this drink shit is getting out of control everywhere.

haha, that place is something else. went there one time and don't plan on going back. the funniest thing was the dj, poor guy couldn't mix to save his ass, he would wreck every single mix. the girls weren't much to look at either. and i still can't believe they charge a cover to get in.

i rip these at work so i have something new to listen to during the week, however you're only gonna get half decent quality cause the stream is a 32kbps real audio one.
i use a program called Hidownload, just search for it on google, it lets you rip streams. the link for the show is rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio1/essmix.ra. if you want to rip other ones just hover over the links on the website to see their names, for example the judge jules show would be that link plus jules.ra instead of essmix.ra.
