great night out! hernan spun for about 4 hours, dropping a relentless onslaught of prog bombs for a good majority of the night. crowd was a bit thin but everyone who was in attendance was on the floor so it was ok. tight mixing for certain, great upfront record selection, but perhaps a bit lacking in programming at times. i regret missing your set jason, but i couldn't even catch a bus from boston until 8pm due to work. regardless though, phil and i still had an awesome time.

if you're all dressed up, you can go to either place. i've never heard of being turned down for being overdressed, even if there's no dress code. however, if you're wearing a sweatshirt and jeans to the game, then you probably won't be able to get into pravda. here's the website for toast. it's going to be a more expensive cab ride than going down to pravda, but eh... its a trip out to boston... might as well live a little. http://www.toastlounge.com

crobar nyc is actually an awesome venue. the place is fucking huge, the sound is amazing. of course you get all the bs that comes along with any glam nyc hot spot, but were you really expecting something different? if you go with an open mind to see a dj you like, i'm sure you'll have an awesome time. deep dish will devour that place. oh my the bass bins....

i've been amazed by the duo and i've also been horrendously let down. hopefully they'll take a gig at crobar nyc a bit more seriously and actually try to make it worthwhile.

come check out square one at i/d tonight (thursday). its a local night held upstairs from axis, right next door to avalon. you'll find some of the chillest people, drunkest people, and best dj's gracing the decks week after week. $5 to get in, small club, very cool spot.

i say get a lawyer.. james sokolov, attorney at law. fuck those crabs downstairs who don't have the balls to take care of their personal problems with the people creating them. a lawyer will be able to find out if there was infact a second warning issued. if it was not, then you guys are chill. or, at least, you should be. if you do get the boot, keep your eyes peeled on craigslist.org. i'm sure you three could come up with individual rooms or maybe even sublet a 3-bedroom for the jan-aug part of the lease. but obviously that's not ideal so do all you can to stay at 1133. and to do that, you need legal counsle.

the venue is beautiful, the soundsystem is sick, and the lights/nitro's have the potential to cause some serious mayhem. the staff was all very friendly, and the coatcheck was quite controlled. drinks were pretty much free all night, which was fine by me. saw lots of celebs earlier on, and bs'd with luis diaz for a bit after the night had ended. nyc has a new top dog in this club, no questions asked.
