Come out this Saturday and support the Movin Board stalwarts (movin-ent.com is a community board dedicated to House Music in LA). + resident DJ and House Music pusher Atomic Mike, who continues, against all odds to bring the beautiful 'Ouse Music to the loft @ Circus (which is why I continue to support him). Should be fun + these wonderful DJs, in my opinion, are too under-exposed in LA. Well on one night of the month, WERKIT will be going in the upstairs House room. Our grand opening is on August 18 with none other then superstar DJs THE SOUND REPUBLIC . Check out my other thread on this. I went to the RED grand opening. The place was nicely packed but not uncomfortable. I think this may have been a good move precisely because of the vibe. All good things must come to an end. There ain't no better way to complete THE GOOD LIFE's 4 year run but to throw a summertime Sunday Daytime party @ the rooftop of The Pasadena Museum of California Art. This is one of the sickest venues I had ever seen in LA, with a beautiful view of majestic downtown Pasadena. At sunset, the experience is spectacular, being up there with friends, drinks in hand and intoxicating house music all around. This is the same spot where, 2 years ago, our brothers at The Blend joined us to throw a memorable party called Good Day LA with Lance Desardi as a headliner. We welcome all the party people back from the Winter Music Conference in South Beach with a very special edition of The Good Life. This is our quarterly residents & friends edition, but it's also a B-day Bash for resident MIKE MAGAñA Originally on the bill was our very good friend and HOME resident/originator DJ AMANDA J. Unfortunately, she was involved in a harrowing car wreck last month which caused serious injuries. She is now recovering and in good spirits. She will be replaced behind the decks by her partner at HOME, DJ JOEL MARTINEZ. Rounding up the stellar local line-up, are two HAWT guys, DJ EDDIE B.and Miguel Migs, I mean, THE IANATOR , and of course, the ever grooving resident DJ HOWE LIN. Although the residents & friends night is usually free, we encourage donations up to $5.00 to help fundraising for Amanda J. who unfortunately did not have health insurance at the time of the accident.
