  1. Marques Wyatt has it listed on his page on the OM records site that he's playing a pool party at the Luxor on Saturday. I have heard exactly zero promotion for this. Does anyone on here know anything about it?

  2. who is JP? I havent heard of anyone like this at Studio 54? you dont mean DJP do you? If so, go see DEEPDISH!!

Jonathan Peters has bee a fixture in the NY scene since his days as a resident at the infamous Sound Factory. Not really a fan, but he does have a rabid following of fans who worship the ground he walks on.

  3. This guy is definitely worth the price of admission on his own. Someday soon (and in some cases already), it will be his name in the headline slot on the flyer. Joe works his ass off for everything he has achieved in the world of DJing, and he is a great guy on top of it.

  4. .The man brought Dance Music to the States.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on a minute there. If you think Tiesto is a pioneer of dance music in the US, then you are absolutely beyond ignorant of dance music history. A lot of people from Chicago, detroit and NYC would definitely have something to say about how Tiesto "brought dance music to this country". Do yourself a favor, and do not ever say something like this on here again because all that will come of it is you make yourself look ridiculous.

If you like Tiesto, that's fine. Don't give him credit for things he had nothing to do with though. House music was rockin' in this country while Tiesto was in school learning his ABC's, and if you didn't know that then perhaps you should go learn before saying things like "The man brought dance music to this country."

  5. oh there def were, im just saying as a whole, and these guys were quite peaceful i may add--for doign the things we did we wulda been choked out and dragged outta most places by me lol

Well, the security staffs at the clubs here aren't what you would think of as "bouncers", from the standpoint of what most people think of as bouncers being the giant guy in the t-shirt standing in the corner waiting to crack some skulls. This town's lifeblood depends on treating people well.

  6. Empire Ballroom doesn't really have much of a dress code (from the standpoint of comparing it to some other venues in town, like Light), although they reserve the right to deny you entry. In other words, they're pretty lenient, but don't show up looking like a slob. I would venture to say that if you're rocking the Pumas you will be fine. Their dress code is just one of the many things that make Empire Ballroom great.

  7. Yeah, I think Skribble and Tommy Lee is one of the worst bookings of the entire weekend out of the ones I have seen so far. Ice really mailed it in this MDW.

  8. I am hearing that the DT rumor is no longer a rumor, and that he will be playing here. I don't have any details to provide at this time, and of course something could happen. As soon as I do have the details, I will put them up here if someone hasn't already.

  9. ^^Gerber's? Randy Gerber just owns the club dude, not the entire hotel. The hotel is owned by Station Casinos.

Also, the Red Rock is showing 12 sold out nights in May. Some other nights that aren't yet sold out are showing rates in the $300-$400 range. I think the Red Rock knows what they're doing setting their rates.
