  1. Take our word for it, Rehab will have 2,000+ people through the door that day. I assure you they're not worried; Rehab is one of the most popular parties in the country.
  2. Nevermind, I just saw it on Danny's website. That is going to be a ridiculous party.
  3. I had heard a couple weeks ago that Danny was going to be here, but didn't see it confirmed anywhere. Where did you get the confirmation?
  4. Masterweb, how is the remodel of your venue coming along?
  5. You can put Miguel Migs in the A list. He's playing Revolution Sunday night.
  6. I was there last night as well, and it was a blast. That party has great potential.
  7. I thought that venue was a huge disappointment. The patios are cool, and the fact that the roof opens up is cool, but the venue is hideous on the inside, and is very cheap looking. The sound is mediocre, and the dancefloor is small. It's unbelievable to think this is the best they could do with such a great space atop the Palms' Fantasy Tower.
  8. Behrouz's gig is listed as the 27th, which is Sunday, on his myspace page.
  9. I wear all black Sketchers, and just as with the t-shirts I have never had a problem.
  10. I have never had a problem getting into any club in this town while wearing a nice, black t-shirt.
  11. Now I know where not to go Labor Day weekend.
  12. I agree. Sharam was fun last year, but DT would be awesome. Maybe a DT/Vibe double bill.
  13. You get a sanitized version of the All-Star crowd because your bouncers and doormen keep the scumbags out. A lot of restaurants don't do that, so they get every worthless piece of shit who was in town for the weekend. That's where the difference is.
  14. Nope. I am thinking WMC was a one-time deal for me. There are so many other trips I would like to make, and Miami, to me, is getting beyond the point of diminishing returns with how much it costs these days. I hope you have a great time if you go though.
  15. You can believe whatever you want. Between believing you and believing the server, I'll go with the server. I think everyone else will as well. Perhaps you've come up with some tactics to prevent this that the Food and Beverage and security departments at the casinos haven't thought of yet. The only basis you have for doubting that is that you, for some reason, don't want to believe it. That doesn't make it any less true though.
  16. A lot of what I have been hearing is that there was a very low class crowd here in town this past weekend. I was listening to ESPN Radio today, and a guy called in to talk about his weekend. He is a server at a restaurant on the Strip, and they had 41 skipped checks this weekend. I could never even fathom skipping out on paying a check at a restaurant, but apparently I was raised differently than a good number of the people who were here this past weekend. Almost all of the callers today, and there were a lot of them, were overwhelmingly negative. There were some positive calls as well, but those were few and far between. Also, there was a good amount of violence on the Strip this weekend, well above and beyond a normal weekend. I can do without that, and I am sure Metro can too.
  17. The Wynn pool is awesome. When you walk out to it, you enter in the all-ages area. It is very serene, almost pin-drop quiet. Walk to the far end of that area, though, and head up the stairs to the adults only section for the real fun. They have an outdoor casino, a bar, a sandwich stand, a DJ and so-called European rules, meaning women can go topless. It is, in a word, great. It will be hoppin' on Memorial Day weekend too.
  18. The Wynn is a can't miss. Seriously. With their 640 sq ft rooms, a couple dozen restaurants, an adults only pool area, Tryst, and the golf course, you really can't go wrong. Also, THEhotel at Mandalay Bay has some of the most spectacular rooms to be found anywhere in the world. Bellagio is another selection you can't go wrong with, although the world visits that hotel everyday so if you can't justify the luxury over the unbelievable crowds, then stay at the Wynn instead. The Wynn is much more mellow. Whoever you choose, enjoy your stay.
  19. Moon was a disappointment. The space it's in is pretty nice atop the Fantasy Tower, but the decor of the club is atrocious. The sound system is nothing special either. Also, the location of the DJ booth looks like it was chosen by a blind man. It is separated from the dancefloor by a walkway and a row of booths. The lighting rig is nothing special either, especially when you compare it to what is really the trendsetter in town right now, that being the rig and accompanying LED panels at Jet. Moon really is not a very nice club, and those going in there expecting the next great Las Vegas venue will be in for a letdown.
  20. Richie is very hard to book, so don't feel bad. If you do get him though, you will have earned bragging rights cuz that would be a huge booking to get someone of his stature to play the Icehouse. Good luck.
  21. Best news I've heard in ages. Circus Disco is nowhere near the quality of venue that Avalon is, and Spundae will be better off at Avalon. It's too bad they can't bring Cole with them though.
  22. Richie Hawtin? Best of luck on getting that booking. I hope you get him.
  23. If you happen to still be in town on Monday night the 22nd, Jet will be hosting Tom Stephan in the house room. He is a can't miss if you are into house music. He is one of the very best in the business.
