  1. Marques Wyatt has it listed on his page on the OM records site that he's playing a pool party at the Luxor on Saturday. I have heard exactly zero promotion for this. Does anyone on here know anything about it?
  2. ^^I agree. If you are going to Jet for Deep Dish, like Danswat said, it will be sardine city up in there. The club is absolutely packed to the rafters every night it's open.
  3. Jonathan Peters has bee a fixture in the NY scene since his days as a resident at the infamous Sound Factory. Not really a fan, but he does have a rabid following of fans who worship the ground he walks on.
  4. This guy is definitely worth the price of admission on his own. Someday soon (and in some cases already), it will be his name in the headline slot on the flyer. Joe works his ass off for everything he has achieved in the world of DJing, and he is a great guy on top of it.
  5. Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on a minute there. If you think Tiesto is a pioneer of dance music in the US, then you are absolutely beyond ignorant of dance music history. A lot of people from Chicago, detroit and NYC would definitely have something to say about how Tiesto "brought dance music to this country". Do yourself a favor, and do not ever say something like this on here again because all that will come of it is you make yourself look ridiculous. If you like Tiesto, that's fine. Don't give him credit for things he had nothing to do with though. House music was rockin' in this country while Tiesto was in school learning his ABC's, and if you didn't know that then perhaps you should go learn before saying things like "The man brought dance music to this country."
  6. Can't make it as I will be in NY. I hope it is a great night for you though.
  7. Instead of Rain on Friday, I would recommend checking out either Tao or Jet. IMO, both of those clubs are better than Rain, and both of them are packed to the rafters with beautiful women.
  8. Well, the security staffs at the clubs here aren't what you would think of as "bouncers", from the standpoint of what most people think of as bouncers being the giant guy in the t-shirt standing in the corner waiting to crack some skulls. This town's lifeblood depends on treating people well.
  9. Per OM records, Andy Caldwell is playing Foundation Room tonight. I guess you guys have him coming by after his set there?
  10. Empire Ballroom doesn't really have much of a dress code (from the standpoint of comparing it to some other venues in town, like Light), although they reserve the right to deny you entry. In other words, they're pretty lenient, but don't show up looking like a slob. I would venture to say that if you're rocking the Pumas you will be fine. Their dress code is just one of the many things that make Empire Ballroom great.
  11. You're shit out of luck on the not too crowded thing bro. You want to have a great time, and be surrounded by beautiful women, every place you go that can fulfill that is going to be packed.
  12. He will not be in Vegas. He was supposed to play a party here, but that fell through. He is now playing Avalon Hollywood on Friday of MDW.
  13. I'm sorry I will be missing this. I leave for NY that night.
  14. Yeah, I think Skribble and Tommy Lee is one of the worst bookings of the entire weekend out of the ones I have seen so far. Ice really mailed it in this MDW.
  15. Wantickets has presales available for the gig at Empire. Don't know about Rehab.
  16. I am hearing that the DT rumor is no longer a rumor, and that he will be playing here. I don't have any details to provide at this time, and of course something could happen. As soon as I do have the details, I will put them up here if someone hasn't already.
  17. Whether or not Ice is worth it would depend greatly on who is DJing that night.
  18. As far as I know, both of them will be there. I doubt only one of them would come on a payday like this one.
  19. ^^Gerber's? Randy Gerber just owns the club dude, not the entire hotel. The hotel is owned by Station Casinos. Also, the Red Rock is showing 12 sold out nights in May. Some other nights that aren't yet sold out are showing rates in the $300-$400 range. I think the Red Rock knows what they're doing setting their rates.
  20. Tao is packed to the rafters every night, and they are shattering company revenue records. I am confident their pool party will be equally successful.
  21. I hope that happens. That would make the weekend for me if DT plays here.
  22. I'll believe the Danny rumor when it is no longer a rumor, meaning when it is confirmed.
  23. I see this got moved. No matter, Josh will still be great I am sure, just like he was back in January. I will still be there as well.
