Hi Peeps, Wanted to let everyone in on a new night for house music, Thursday's at 33 Lounge. This Thursday I join Chris Thorpe & Jon Win on the decks at 33 for this new night. Chris & Jon come out here from Western MA to deliver the proper house beats, in the downstairs lounge of 33. Last week was the first time they threw this event, and I had the chance to check it out. When I got there I was pleased to find Boston’s own Geogre Nessis on the decks, the music was thumping, there was a nice crowd there dancing, and the sound in the room was very crisp and clean with the right amount of kick. This is a no-cover night, casual dress, and it's really about solid underground house music. For those that haven't been to 33, it's a Restaurant/Lounge in Back Bay, near Copley Sq. with laving decor, and an intimate atmosphere. Come by and check it out! On Saturday, August 28th, Cassiamor will celebrate its 1-Year Anniversary with a boat cruise showcasing some of the east coast’s best DJs. Talent already confirmed include the internationally renowned DJ/producer and Avaland resident Dave Ralph, vocalist/producer/DJ extraordinaire Craig Mitchell, DJ/producer and member of the production team Agent 001, Eli Wilke, and Cassiamor resident and local standout JayP. Dave Ralph has been a recording artist since the late eighties and has been DJing around the globe for some 20 years. With a number of mixed CDs on labels such as Kinetic and System Recordings, the latter housing his most recent double disc release Resident Alien, and a hectic global DJing schedule, Dave is and has been a seminal figure in the dance music industry for two decades. Craig Mitchell, aka Oliver Twisted, makes the trip from Burlington, Vermont to join us after a very successful appearance at our now defunct monthly House Arrest party @ Pravda 116. Craig has been a standout in the house music scene as a DJ and producer for some 15 years, contributing vocals and production work to tracks on such labels as Twisted Records, Pipeline Records and Star69 to name a few. Craig also owns and operates the very popular Club 135 in Burlington, the only underground venue of its kind in the area, showcasing local and international talent such as Tom Stephan (aka Superchumbo), John Creamer and Rob DiStefano. Eli Wilke, aka Agent 001 with production partner Steve Porter, is undoubtedly one of the fastest rising talents on the east coast. Eli’s productions have been signed to a slew of various labels, including Opek Music, Reversible Records and Mother Tongue. As a DJ, Eli has appeared at the biggest and best clubs on this side of the states, including Boston’s Avaland and Montreal’s Stereo. Rounding out the line-up is Cassiamor resident Jay Prouty, aka JayP. 2004 has been a busy year for Jay and the Cassiamor crew, with appearances at Avaland alongside some of the biggest DJs in the world, including Jimmy Van M, DJ Rap and Dave Ralph. Don’t miss this exclusive event as all four of these DJs take turns showcasing their @#%$ and flavors of house music. This event will be held aboard the Lexington Boat, courtesy of the Charles Riverboat Company. Sponsors for this event include Magic Hat Brewing Company, Stuff at Night magazine, the Boston Society of Young Professionals, and Eventcast. Sound provided by Blake Courtney.
