'Stop' is a fantastic track chock full of bouncy layers and a catchy guitar hook that funks up things no end. The production is quality, the beats are dope and the sounds are perfect for the headbobbing clubbing experience. The 'Original Mix' is funked up and sassy, while the 'Back Bay Mix' chugs and sweeps, both versions ensuring you'll definately find something for yourself and the floors. The 'Original Mix has a great groove, cool arpeggiated keys and a slappy guitar for a dose of funk. Techy beats start up adding layers, as a low thump burps below. A sassy arpeggiation bounces around teasing the beats while the low end continues to rumble and build. An acid sound rolls over everything and drops the tune into a twinkly ambient bit that opens up for the funky guitar. The keys work with the guitar riding through transitions and falling off into a breaky spacey middle which allows the guitar to change tones. The keys bounce around and change into a tweaky fun sound that continues until the last beat. The 'Back Bay Mix' is full of chugging beats, cool chord changes and great builds. The percussion builds quickly from the start adding high hats, toms and a fantastic chugging kick, while sounds delay and fall off. A heavy bass steps up and grooves along keeping the chugging feel going while it drives through various percussive changes. Long acid sweeps come on dropping the beats out and stopping everything for a second to introduce a slight vocal which says 'i told you never to stop' in a dark and deep male voice. Slowly building back with a trippy breakbeat, the sweeps come in again and everything builds into a frenzy of sound that calms down finally at the end. The third release for Reversible Records stands out with its guitar hook and funky ass beats, with the usual Micali production quality shining through out in what is hopefully the first of many tracks with Chris Reavey"

Friday night At Avalon is great for good house music. I'll be spinning that night actually, with the other residents Randy Deshaies and Alex Whalen...I can get you on a guestlist if you choose, and theres alwasy a fair amount of guidos there if thats your thing;) If afterhours is your thing, theres a top notch club here called RISE, which is members only, that consistently brings in top notch local and guest DJ talents. It became available this past Saturday, Jan 22nd, as Steve performed a 2-hour set in-store. This album is all originally produced material and mixed. Go to the store and have a listen!
