  1. When, who started it? Who owns it? Someone is making a lot of money!!! First Ultra had how many people? How much DJ's get paid? etc. etc..
  2. It's getting worst each year. This will be my last one. Evertyhing is expensive, too much bs in clubs, too many people. $7 bottle of water at club spin. $60 tiesto at space, $20 parking, 1 1/2 hour in line, 20 min to get a drink, 20 min to reach the bathroom to find out you cannot fill up the water bottle. my got stepped a million times. 03/22 mauro picotto at space $40, sucked!! 03/23 armin at club spin, $50, awesome music. 03/25 pvd, ferry, seb fontaine at space I got so frustrated with the long line I went back to the hotel. 03/26 Ultra 7, $65, 40 min to get in, just stayed in spot from 6-12am to see ferry, oakenfold, junkie XL, tiesto and PVD. I'd go back to WMC if I had VIP reservation in whatever club I go to.
  3. On washington Ave, there are 2 cd stores that sell glowsticks. I brought mine from NYC, I'll be at space tonight for PVD and tomorrow for ultra. CYA
  4. for like an hour they put the AC on, I was freezing. In front of the bar there was ugly fight. Armin came on late like 2am. I'll see him again in miami Tue at club Spin.
  5. I need a tennis racket and a snowboarding helmet, Hook the brotha up!!!!
  6. Went to satelite records chinese kid in front to me, 5 feet tall bought 22 tickets, I thank him for not buying all the tickets!!!!!
  7. Where are the pros in twirling glowsticks? they used to be at Exit and Roxy all the time. It was one better than the other. amazing moves, remember those hi-intensity glowsticks? Now the club scene changed, too much BS at the door, dress code, guestlists, location of the club, finding parking space, etc.. Glowsticks and Crobar or spirit just doesn't match but I still like to see those pros in glowsticks again. Exit, SF, Roxy, Vinil and Centro-fly on thu's those were the good days in 2001/2002. The good thing that exit and SF closed is because all my friends stop dropping pills and do K. Crobar, spirit is a place to drink and avalon is like a hong kong night club.
  8. BY FRANK LOMBARDI DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER Scenes of death and destruction in Banda Aceh, Indonesia (below), are hilarious, right? Apparently to HOT 97 deejay Miss Jones (above), who aired parody. Hip-hop radio station HOT 97 has sparked outrage across the city by airing a twisted song that shockingly mocks the 200,000 victims of the South Asian tsunami. The radio station, WQHT, was forced to air an apology yesterday after the insulting song - whose lyrics include racial epithets aimed at Asians - was played for four days last week by morning deejay Miss Jones. "We are absolutely appalled, saddened, outraged and angered," said Kai Yu of Asian Media Watch. The nasty parody, sung to the tune of "We Are the World," makes light of how the killer tsunami "washed your whole country away." Some of the other tasteless lyrics refer jokingly to orphaned children being sold into slavery. "You're sick," City Councilman Robert Jackson (D-Manhattan) fumed at HOT 97. Before one airing of the song, the station's news reader, Miss Info, who is of Asian descent, objected to the song, only to be attacked by Jones and her cohorts. "That song is really offensive to me, and I opted not to involve myself," Miss Info said. Jones replied, "I know you feel you're superior because you're Asian, but you're not." Later, co-host Todd Lyn, incensed at Miss Info's criticism, said, "I'm going to start shooting Asians." Councilman John Liu (D-Queens) said it was outrageous that the station, owned by Emmis Communications Corp., aired the song for four days. "It degrades the more than 200,000 victims," Liu said. Liu and other Asian leaders have called for the Federal Communications Commission to crack down on the station and demanded that Miss Jones, whose full name is Tarsha Jones, be fired. Jones and program director John Dimick both read apologies on the air yesterday. "HOT 97 regrets the airing of material that made light of a serious and tragic event," Dimick said. "We apologize to our listeners and anyone who was offended." Jones and six people working on her show will donate a week of their salaries to tsunami relief, Dimick said. But Dimick refused to say whether Jones would be fired. FIRE Ms. Jones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. It's on NY1.com website, it happened outside Exit, 3 with minor injury and one in critical condition. My friend told me they were chinese but the news doesn't say it. What a way to start a new year!!!
  12. Yep, sneakers and t-shirt, Decent and comfortable. It's gonna be hot!!!! 6 hours of PVD, nice way to start a new year with some quality music.
  13. I have a friend who went to Thailand for vacation, his family so far has not heard from him. From 11.000 then 24.000 and now 44.000 people dead. Life is a surprise box, so many ways to die, you don't know what comes tomorrow. At least seems like NYC is free from natural disasters like earthquake, hurricanes. This cold weather is enough for me. God bless NYC!! They're looking for lost relatives, something to eat, shelter and we here planning our new year's eve, complaining of little things. It's great to be in NY, isn't it?
  14. New Year's eve, I gotta listen to some quality music, new year's eve with Paul van dyk!!! awesome!!, thank you Ikon, thank you New York.
  15. Music not all that. He came on almost 2am. Too many people. I guess $25 was too cheap. The crowd was ugly. I saw guys with long hair like heavy metal style. I was being pushed all over the place. Roxy would have been a better place for this event.
  16. That place must be trashy inside with all kinds of rats and spider web. What happen to the owner? and the bouncers accused of selling..?what happened in court? Who's owns that place now? who got the keys? open up and let's party! The location is much better than crobar and spirit. If opens again please don't bring JP again. Erick morillo sounds good. Where were you last year's new year's?
  17. the grammy party it was on a Tue Sep 21 Deep dish Sander
  18. I like acosta, "awake" "Miami" are very good cd's. What rank is he?
  19. where did u hear that? Must be a different DT.
  20. Clubs in L.I rarely last long time. No matter how nice it is. location is very important, Manhattan, remember 56 ST and 11th Ave or 46 and 11th Ave, good location, those were the good days, year 2001-2002.
  21. Hip-hop?? tiesto, DT ok, but dj fun flex?? who's that?
  22. Not that I know. Spirit will probably end at 6am. After listening to a good music and then going to another club and listen to an inferior music will bring your mood down. After AVB, it's better to go to a house party with your best friends where you can turn up the volume, play your favorite CD's, watch something like Tiesto in concert DVD in a big screen TV. Cover the windows, lock the dogs, gatorade, red bull, play something from www.digitallyimported.com
  23. You'll see more people getting addict. And the people able to buy them will start selling to make profit to those who can't. You'll see a lot of old school drug dealers looking for real jobs and putting their escalades with 20 in spin rims for sale. If legalize, where and who would grow the weed. I'd apply for a job like that. what would be the name of the position?
  24. Is it gonna be like Vinil? All dark, no alcohool, a lot of people doing k, no glowsticks. And the music is not that great. No I don't wanna be myself again!!! All the good dj's are in Europe bring somebody from there.
  25. What trance CD's would you recommend? Ex: Just be (Tiesto) Nothing or All by Christopher Lawrence Live in los angeles (Ferry corsten)
