  1. the one with magda in it is funny as fuck too
  2. hawtin is fuckin brilliant. seen him at shine in belfast a while ago, and looking forward to his 2 gigs at the sonar festival in barcalona in a few weeks.
  3. theres a lot on there thats more played out imo. roman fluegal was getting daytime airplay here in ireland, as is the audiobullys one at the minute. if a tunes overplayed it dosent make it out of date. well, not to me anyway. each to their own though.
  4. what makes you think that? anything i recognise there looks fairly recent.
  5. some great records there (bar the nancy sinatra one ) john tejada - sweat on the walls is sick as fuck. best tune in my box this past while.....
  6. i was hoping he'd extend the residency. i aint gonna be in ny till mid september. the cunt.
  7. to save you the bother of posting to ireland, have you got a download i can get instead? be a lot handier for both of us
  8. personally i use cds and vinyl (80%cd though) and i dont really give a shit what a dj uses. its the music im interested in not the format.
  9. fisherspooner are brilliant. real sleazy electro sounding music.
  10. i was hoping they could be traded in for narcotics or somthing. not that i have any though
  11. loved his one legged disco ep on intec. real jackin funky techno.
  12. i'd have to disagree there. sasha has produced much better work than either of those, spanning a lot more years. pet shop boys remixes, gusgus remixes, be as one, belfunk, heart of imagination, expander. not to mention airdrawndagger. plus he's the one who has been blurring the lines between production and live performences. just because he dosent have the time to devote to as much production as those guys due to a hectic worldwide schedule dosent mean he's less acomplished than guys who have the time to sit at home and fart out work left right and centre.
  13. only familiar with that cevin fisher one. must get a listen to the rest.....
  14. the knife - take my breath away (mylo remix) quality electro-house.
  15. mine would be: john tejada - sweat on the walls (pokerflat) earnest saint laurent - a good trip with my grandmother (earnest) dino - back to my flat (mike monday mix) (free2air) mossa - done by zero (cynosure) the emperror machine - yes no egg (dc) at the minute i seem to be drawn to dirty sounding real electronic pumpin sleazy grimey house music. well thats how i would describe it anyway!
  16. beach boys - god only knows
  17. just a wee quick post to say if anyones online in just over 2hrs time from the time of this post (i'm in a diff timezone, and im too stoned atm to work it out!) and have a free hour, i'm doing a live mix for the bbc in ireland. you can listen online here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/northernireland/atl/ any feedback (apart from bad) appreciated expect to hear some sleazy jackin house and grinding electro. with a few suprizes thrown in
  18. have you heard the new adam beyer one yet? good tunes, but it just aint up to much. cant wait for the luciano one.
  19. yeah the fabric cds are a bit more underground so to speak. you could get anything from hiphop, house, or breaks to dnb. always quality mixes though. ones i'd recomend are: dj heather digweed the 2 craig richards ones meat katie andy wetherall the freestylers swayzak (my fav of the lot) jon marsh jacques luCont theres 21 fabric's and 21 fabric lives about. some listening.
  20. i thought there was a dj called toni maas there! a bro of timo perhaps.
  21. 27. dont feel a day over 20 though (dunno if thats good or bad but)
  22. first time i heard good dance music was an old jumpin' jack frost tape from about 89, that i got a hold of in 91. it snowballed with a load of house and rave tapes till i was old enough to get into clubs where the first good house dj i seen was glen molloy (local hero at the time). had loads of cds and tapes but i never got bitten by the quality house bug till 94-95 with the fathers of sound, the sashadigweed2headedbeast and a whole host of fuckers that are not as good as i thought back then. cunts
  23. seen timo a few weeks ago at lush. he was great, really sleazy house music all nite. got a promo mix off him too with his new tune 'first day' on it. quality stuff.
