  2. Here's a list of smaller venues where you can sometimes avoid the drama:

    Delano poolside

    Cafeteria

    Blue

    Laundry Bar

    Jazid

    :D

    Thanks!

Been in Miami for a few month now, and still trying to find the right spots...

Been to the first two, but not the last three....can you PM me with the adresses?

    Tx...

  3. If I were you, I wouldn't judge a city's nightlife by its messageboards. Instead, go out and see how many snooty French doormen slap you in the face with so many insults that it will make the mutants at the end of the line look promising.

Miami is not about a scene. It's about how you look and how much money you have and how good you are at showing it off. It's about how much cocaine you can snort before one of your "high as a kite" friends tries to remember the phone number that will get an ambulance over pronto. That is all this city will ever be. :D

That's exactly my point...there is no scene. It's all superficial.

The scene should be fun and simple. Go out, and have fun.

I feel like I am too old for the big nighclubs, but it seems like in Miami, those are the only places that don't give you attitude, and nobody judges you....you go in, pay at the door, and have a blast...If only we would get some good talented DJ down here more often, life would be perfect.

  4. so ur talking pre space.....liquid days.....weellllll..yeah liquid, shadow...space yr 1 was the golden age of clubbing hre in miami/sobe.......granted its not like that anymore.....but the scene here is still solid....its not all the beautiful people partying like it was in those days but its still tops in this country.........and remember theres alot of pretty people in l.a. so they still get that feel.....but when it comes to straight partying ......its still right here in miami /sobe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

    Guys.

Miami is all right, but you can't really say it tops this country...all you have to do is look at some other city message boards, and see how many gig go on in some other big cities. For example, check out the NY thread:

    http://bbs.clubplanet.com/new-york/

Compare that with the Miami thread, and the Miami thread starts to look kind of lame...

Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to put down the scene here, but I've lived in other cities, and the Miami scene is...well....lame?

  5. For those of you who think that Twilo will be Twilo....don't expact too much...

This will not be the real thing, and so much time have past, which means we are not the same people either....All I am saying is, hope for the best, but preapare for the worst.

I look forward to seeing it there, and if the sound system is good, I am sure all the good DJs will be there. I heard it will not be the old legendery PHazon though...so I hope to put in a good system.

  6. First of all, thank you to the individual who had referred me to the thread about discriminatory practices at Crobar in New York City.

I am involved in a watchdog organization that monitors racism and discriminatory actions against Asian-Americans.

There has appeared to be a pattern of racial profiling and other blatant acts by this business which are illegal on both the federal and state level. These are egrecious policies which should be immediately brought to the attention of the appropriate governmental agencies. Publicity will also be sent to various Asian organizations and media outlets.

In addition, it is also imperative to financially punish any organization/corporation actively engaging in any illegal discriminatory practices. Therefore, a class action lawsuit would be appropriate and considered if there is ample evidence to suggest a repeated pattern of racial profiling. If you have had such an unfortunate experience at the above corporation, please send me details of the event that had occurred. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I think you are full of Sh....t.

Croabr has not been racially profiling anyone, just people that look like they are up to no good, not to mention people with fake IDs, and drug-junkies.

I go to Crobar alot, as well as all the other clubs in the city, and Crobar is my favorite club. You guys need to Lay off it, and stop waisting everyone's time.
