Lmaoooo 3 hour set wtf.. i migth as well had brought a lap top there and played some techno for 8 hours teh fuck is wrong with this dude?
He used to spin for 6 to 8 hours back when he was less famous....I guess he does not really need to do it, or he is probably not into it anymore like he used to.
It happans to all of them...

it was very very crowded, as i expected,
line was horrible, some idiots fighting, same long wait for everyone, regardless of having will call, which in my mind defeats the whole purpose of getting tickets ahead of time
tiesto didn't start till about 1:40 or so, started off with some mellow stuff, and played harder tracks as the night went on,
so just like every other time when a big name dj comes there, dancing is almost impossible because it was so crowded, people walking around in circles around the club as if revlon is doing a cancer walk
on the way out i've noticed that the whole club was playing tiesto (no hip hop), and i should have stayed in the small room as opposed to being in the main room
so, i'm not sure if he ripped it sickkk or he was off da hook, since i have many of his sets, he played his usual stuff, which i like
but it was so damn crowded, and i can't imagine what it will be like tonight, since last night was not sold out
In Tiesto's case, the big advantage of buying in advance is guarenteed admission. Otherwise, you are risking the event to be sold out.
When Tiesto is at Crobar, they play his set inside the small room. It's the best place to be. You can't see him, but you can here the set, and the vibe flows into the small room, from the main room.

Usually on the rare occasion that I do go to Crobar, I buy an advanced ticked beforehand. Then on the night of the event I hop on line, hand them my ticket and I'm in... I would think that a true private club would be something more along the lines of Rise in Boston. Rise is an actual "members only" club. The only way you get in is if you are a member or if you have a pass which usually is given to you by a member...
Thats a good point though. If an "Asian" person buys an advance tickets, I don't see how he or she can not be admitted to the club. I bet you Crobar was packed with Asians last night, and will be packed with Asians tonight for Tiesto.
I don't see how you can say they are recist then.
If people don't like the club, then they don't have to go there. I don't see what's the point of trashing it and acusing it of being racist. And no, I don't work for Crobar. I do go there any time a good talent perfomrs there, and I like it. I also like Spirit, Pacha, and any other clean orgenized club that brings in good talents, and allows people to go and have a good time.
I also think this topic should go back to the orignal thread instead of occupying two of them..

So much fun reading it.
My personal opinion is that Crobar is controling the crowd preaty well. I don't think they are against Asians. They are probably keeping people that look like they are drug addicts and overdosers out of the club. Unfortinately for the Asian population, most people that fit that profile in recent years happans to be Asians. I am sure if an Asian guy shows up dressed well, with a good additude, he will not have a problem getting in.
On another note, some of the door people at Crobar been in the scene forever, and worked at the best and most respectull doors in the city. They do know what they are doing.
Also, I bet you Crobar will be packed with Asian on Thursday and Friday when Tiesto is in town.

crobar will be packed to the gills... if some of u have problems getting in definitely stop by SOL at 4am its just around the corner so that can always be ur back up plan... and Serge Devant will def give u quality music as always and perform like he normally does

After Serge Devant is finished with his set at Crobar he will be playing a special guest set at SOL afterhours the same night if anyone is interested

Will probably pass on the Tiesto Gig...but will show up to see Serget at SOL.

I guess Crobar is just trying to keep some kind of selection at the door.
I did go there on Friday and the crowd was great. Now that I think aobut it, there were not many Asians there.

I _did_ check the video you put on your main topic. Now the question is did you read what serious scientists using rigorous thinking say in the link I posted?
I was nowhere near convinced by the arguments used in the conspiracy video, most of them are debunked using science and logic on the site I posted. The rest was little out-of-context circumstantial facts told with a very deep and serious voice over cliche music, and very bad physics.
The link I provided should help you read through the conspiracy-junk, unless you're one of those folks who just won't change their mind whatever we put in front of them. In which case you need to read what Karl Popper has to say about unfalsifiable theories.
