Hey everyone, need some help/advice - My roomate has a 6 month sublet agreement with me, which is up jan 1 2006. a few weeks back i had asked him to move out by dec 1, and he said yes. We had then agreed(verbally, not in writing) that i would use his security deposit to cover novembers rent. However, he comes back to me now and told me that if he cant find a place by december, he is going to stay because our initial sublet contract was until january.... - I want him out ASAP. Any advise on what I can do(if anything?)????

Got there around 3ish, unfortunately left 6:15(anyone know when it ended) as had to drop off a friend at the airport - All I can say is Lawler has been getting bad reviews lately, mainly because he is moving away from his old sound and adopting a new electro house type thing, but he was on point @ Spirit - Around 5ish on dropping bomb after bomb imo, great vibe, plenty of room to dance - Anyone know the name of the track he dropped around 5, had a female vocal saying "I wanna be"????(i think it was i wanna be, im actualy kind of shot now!) - Heard around 4-5 tracks from the new compilation..... And to top if off around 6 he dropped "situation" from the 80's All in all killer set, enjoyed it better than last time @ spirit www.kinetikamusic.com

Place probably will not be open past 6. - As for Mr. Lawler, sae him in Ibiza twice last month, he has become electro-ish lately, which isnt a bad thing, buit if you are looking for the filthy-tribally drum monster you are not going to get that... www.kinetikamusic.com

lol i'm not a guido!! gosh some of you guys are harsh.. yeah the northeast blows in the winter...hate the cold - Europeans love miami? Err, I guess. I'm Greek but raised in NY since a kid, def got a point there.... - Those of you from NY/the northeast can relate with me on the fact that it is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too fast paced in NY, the europeans like miami because for the most part its laid back and chill(like parts of europe).

Hey all, might be moving to Miami from NYC, i usually only go to Miami for WMC, have some ?'s ... 1. Where to live?: maybe not sobe, but where can i live that is not that expensive(1 bedroom, my range caps out at around 1500), but still a cool place to live? what about downtown miami? suggestions? 2. Crime?: Living in NYC, the one thing I worry about is parking on the street, with accidents and all. Any worries about car thefts? Do the apartments usually have parking included? 3. Economy?: I know alot of stuff is being built downtown, but what is the economy like/trends? Any help will be nice

As much as I love NY, I personally think the NY scene can be classified as "Commercial Guido". - No offense to anyone please !!!! - There is a prettier crowd in Miami Weather is better Vibe is better(probably because of the weather) - Here in NY we have a few different factions of club sceners: 1. The hipster kids: Go to a motherfucker party and you will see what i mean. 2. The meatheads: Crobar crowd. Big room beats. "Commercial Guido" 3. The rest: The former vinyl/arc crowd, meatpacking crowd, and THE FRENCH - NY isnt what is used to be. Maybe Pacha can change that a bit? But I honestly think Miami gets the edge mainly for the weather/beach. At times its like your in Ibiza or Greece.

Put it this way, when Twilo closed people were weeping... Hell they put flowers on the front door like it was funeral or something... Twilo had the ultimate 'vibe' for a house club, in addition to kick ass lineups Here are some of the parties i remember going to( i am surprised i remember much from then!): -Dimitri from Paris. 'respect is burning' party. saw him twice there, first time sucked but second time he dropped a sick set -Paul van dyk(few times). I am not a fan of trance, but he is really good. Place was packed each time. -Sasha and Digweed(alot of times). they had a monthly residency there, every last friday of the month. i dont like sasha but diggers is the man. -Digweed(solo). seen him solo few times. ripped it to shreds -Howells, Lawler, Vasquez(few times each....need i say more?) -Sven Vath(once). The best minimal tech set I have ever heard. This guy is really sick imo -DT vs. Cox: presidents day . i cant even describe this. these guys at one point appeared to be going at it track for track -Digweed/Dt: this was the 5 year anniversary party. diggers opened up, was way too trancy, but then dt came on.... - I can go on and on...

the party will go until about 8ish. - yes, dano is the man! used to go to EVERY monthly gig he used to do at vinyl/arc(actually, i think i missed 2 at the most) - spirit used to be Twilo. Its an ok club, but i personally think its sacreligious to have another club there. - Since your going alone just be safe! and dont worry the crowds that go to howells are ok, there for the music

Digweed def has a long history at that building - personally like him solo as compared to when he spun w/sasha - he has never dissapointed when i have seen him, with the exception of the twilo 5 year anniversary party(he opened for Tenaglia), when he was WAY too trancey for my taste..

Had to leave at 700am, anyone know what time the party went until(or is it still going on)?????? - arrived 345. music ok. i forget the time but i believe around 5 he dropped some donna summer(??) jam(love to love u baby) and than it took off - there was room to dance, only a handful of shirtless meatheads, all in all a good time. the crowd was a good crowd, didnt see any fights and everyone was really into the music - only complaint was that the part of the dance floor right in front of the dj booth smelled like dirty armpits - Howells coming next week, then mr lawler in october(cd release party) - oh, p.s. Didgweed kicked ASS

It all depends on which Digweed shows up - Few years back @ centro fly he was relentless, from the moment he got on until the moment he got off. It was the hardest I have ever heard him spin. He just tore it up nonstop - Back in the Twilo days, I guess the best way to describe his style other than 'progressive' is 'progressive trance'. Go get his Global Underground Los Angeles Cd and you will know what I'm talking about - The last time I heard him was last summer @ cavo Paradiso (Mykonos, Greece), his set was very trancey, and it was all cd's(I dont even remember him using Vinyl). - Hope that helps!

Sunday Sep 4 This will be an insane party. I know they will be here in nyc on consecutive weeks but when do we get the chance to see 2 dj's like this together the same night? - Anyone who is planning on going up north to montreal for this pm me (might be able to get some possible comps)

Mykonos is the shit! was there last year, got to see Digweed do a surprise set(forget the name of the lounge/bar), Deep Dish and Cox @ Cavo. The view from Cavo Paradiso is unbelievable(wait until you see the sunset...) - As for the island itself many great places to eat(I remember this one ancient greek restaurant, the waiters were dressed in tunics and they had this home made honey wine, amazing) - As for shopping, kind of expensive, you can get the same stuff(clothes/sunglasses/jewelry) for alot less at syros, which is the island nearest to mykonos. i suggest you tell the vendors you will pay them in cash(euro) and they can give you a better deal - by the way, mykonos used to be what ibiza is now(however on a smaller scale). if i had to choose between the two my pick is mykonos(of course i'm greek so there is a bias)
