  1. I tried to rename the files and I still have trouble getting it to work. I don't understand why I can get it into my itunes library but when I drop it into my Ipod or Playlists it shows all 7 but duplicates the first 3 tracks so it won't take the last 4 dl. Has anyone else tried it? Also I love the mix are there any plans to make a summer mix on your show? Like a 2006 WMC mix?

tune in weekly on sundays at noon and youll get all the details for that first hand ;)

  2. This is the best mix ever but the problem is when I put it into my ipod it won't allow mto put all 7 into it. For some reason it only allows the first 4. My library shows all 7 but when it goes to my ipod/playlist it only allows 4. I tried it on another ipod with the same problem.

i would sugest renaming the files

im not sure if it would work for you but its worth a simple shot

  3. they didt let me take my camera in! Whats that about?

  5. in the past couple days i have been contemplating using a few of my contacts to have points listed in this thread to show up in an article in USA TODAY.

Id seriously like to see how the current station managment takes things after seeing something like that on TV with national syndication.

    Now keep in mind

Articles like that not only get a quick news page written but also,

    sent to google news scubsribers

    Podcasts from apple daily news

    RSS feeds on news websites

Talked about on Othe radio stations

the list goes on and on. bottom line, i think i should try to get it published, just to make an attempt at getting that particular station OFF the air.

    .....it could happen

  7. yes true but you have to remember that yes Hip Hop these days promotes violence but i kinda disagree with ur other statement just because electronic music doesnt promote violence doesn't mean that there isn't any (there have been stabbings, fights,or if u look back at EXIT or SF there have been deaths too)but yea if they don't start spinnin real Hip Hop music they should take HOT97 off the air, plus i fuckin hate the fact that they keep playin the same tracks over and over again on a day to day basis... show's how much that station can b real crap at times

they play the same songs over and over because they need to follow statistics.

people like you and me listen to a station for as long as 4+ hrs a day before a break usualy

but the major populous listens to the same station for about 20 mins a day or at a time that day in intervals.

so with that they need to repeat songs along with adding in some general news for the area.

    ----------------------------

and yes i know what ya mean about deaths at places like exit and sf but those werent because of the music played form what i gathered.

they were because of drugs mainly werent they?

i mean im not disputing your comment... im just adding a few points to it

  8. of corse it cant go back to the old 80's and 90s ways

thats for sure not going to be good to any part of the market but

    speaking of "the market"

most artists that remain sucessfull do just that. They follow the market while remaining in their "lane" as it were.

Madonna - Cher - Phil Collins - and plenty of others

    including artists like

Van dyke - Oakenfold - Sanchez - hell even Riddler have all slightly changed their styles to follow the market or be run over.

These fake ass "artists" arent following anything but a pipe dream attached to a thong and a nine mil.

whats that going to get you? Nothing but trouble

  9. hot 97 isnt hip hop..its all these pretend rappers wana be gangster shooting at each other in order to gain some semblance of street cred

thanks ghost for that 100% true statement

during the newcast lastweek talking about Star being fired, one particular person interviewd said

"Hot 97's morning show with Star & Wild is NOT hip hop, this is NOT hip hop, what they are doing is HATE MONGERING..."

i couldnt have said any better and its what i been feeling for years.

  10. Some of the biggest rap stars in hip hop culture have visited New York’s hip-hop, rap and R&B radio station Hot 97. Many of the hip- hop and rap artists show up with entourages who become involved in confrontations.

Rap and hip-hop artists from Game to 50 Cent have had their share of problems at the New York hip-hop radio station; this includes the 2001 shooting between the hip-hop entourages of ‘Lil Kim and Capone-N-Noreaga which ended up with ‘Lil Kim going to jail over.

The New York City District Council of Carpenters Pension Fund, which owns the building that houses the hip-hop Hot 97 station (WQHT-FM) and two of its sister stations, wants to evict the station for promoting violence among its hip-hop and rap visitors. It seems the landlord has had enough of the loose cannons of hip-hop and said that it feared for the lives of their other tenants and passers-by after three shootings, two bomb threats and more than a dozen other violent incidents at the station's offices since March 2000. It has issued an eviction notice to Emmis Radio LLC, which owns Hot 97.

In a counter move Emmis Radio LLC has filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit against The New York City District Council of Carpenters Pension Fund over the eviction notice. It is being reported that are six years remain on their lease.

In papers filed in the New York State Supreme Court in Manhattan, Emmis Radio LLC said the landlord has "blocked access to the premises by any and all of tenant's visitors."

The building's owners, The New York City District Council of Carpenters Pension Fund, have said the station cannot have any visitors except for the hip-hop and rap artists and that seven days notice is needed before any artists visit the Hot 97 station.

The attorney for The New York City District Council of Carpenters Pension Fund said the stations agreed to those terms. “The suit is without meritâ€, he said.

It seems even the NYPD has enough of the Hot 97 hip-hop drama. NYPD officials told the New York Daily News that they will be installing a 24-hour surveillance camera outside Hot 97’s radio station in hopes of hindering hip-hop and rap artists and their entourages from getting violent.

  11. I sure will see you then!

If you can stop in Gypsy tea this sat/sun morning its my b-day party :)

ill see if this saturday night doesnt hurt me lol

but im supposed to swing in SOL for the feature

  12. Seems like other clubs are catching on to the great new trend.

    i dont know Vlad

id call it more something like "Pack mentality"

its the same when all these "club" the city started calling themselves "upscale"

all they did was change the lighting to red

    add a rope outside

and make everyone wear SHOES and slacks (sp)

  13. thanks for the info boys
