  1. I will be attending the new avalon saturdays,I like the fact that it will be diverse, and Brett henrichsen is one of my fav DJs.I havent heard him since last summer at roxy, hes been out west most of the time.As for stereo,I dont think I will even bother, from the looks of it..it will probably be all about rauhofer, with a few other DJs on the side,I aint paying $20-$30 for that s**t.Rauhofer was gr8 at roxy, but now Im off of that craze.I'll take my JB card and pay half that price for a more diverse crowd at avalon and probably more array of DJs as well.It would be cool if Chad Jack started doing avalon again, hes a cool DJ too.Roxy has always been my fovorite spot, went there every saturday nite, hopefully those glory days at avalon will return. For the record, avalon isnt going anywhere right now, because of its landmark status,so no mini-mall is in the near future for that spot, according to the village voice.
  2. Rap/reggae lol, thats kiddie stuff,Invite all your High school buddies to a party in your basement and listen to Hot 97 or 105.1 on your boom box, that should be the answer.
  3. New York only made 2 spots and they aint even at the top of the list why am I NOT surprised.Ibiza has quite a few on there thats a sign for me.As for New York, with all of the nightlife haters and the constant closing down of some of the best nightclubs around, its doesnt surprise me at all that New York was lucky enough to get only 2 spots on this list. The cheezy little bottle service places aint helpin either. Aint that a Bitch!!!
  4. The gays do it better Peter Rauhofer Offer Nissim and James Andersen the Last Dance "The end of an ERA" (1991-2007) House Music all night long!!!!
  5. By the way euroautofan84,its great that you had all the facts you dont find that on this forum board at all!!!!Though from now on I wouldnt waste time stating them on here, people are to ignorant to listen.stay cool!
  6. Thank You! It is about time someone knew the facts of what is going on,instead of bullsittin.Anyway,The owner Gene is selling it because of new land developement going on.The building is going to be demolished and it will turn into either a parking lot or part of the newly constructed building next door to Roxy. The owner has talked about selling the builing in the past and from what I heard, has talked about finding a new space.Frankly I will miss the Roxy...It has been the only real New York club space left in the city, with a friendly club staff and a great crowd, without all this guest list and bottle service nonsense.Roxy has been great to the gay community and it will be missed dearly!!! Also for the record, there were never any real underage violations,I have seen people literally get escorted or thrown out of the club if they got caught with alcohol in their hand under 21,they have had a history with drug violations just like any other club, but apperently it wasnt as bad as crobar.
  7. Preach on bro...you just took the words right outta my mouth! The dinky little bottle service club have to go!!!!!!!!!The only club on that 27th street block that made any sense was club Spirit, now its bottle service snob central.no variety like it was before,Ain't That a Bitch!!!!!!!
