  1. Go HERE for more photos by JT WHITE and TAG YOURSELF and YOUR FRIENDS! Last night’s launch party for the Navy issue of Unvogue magazine was supposed to be the big coming out party for news anchor Anderson Cooper. Though, due to the untimely death of the King of Pop, Cooper instead was on CNN all night reliving the first time he met the King at Studio 54 (Cooper was 10!). Take a look at the party that Cooper missed out on… Held at Sapphire Lounge, the bash included a stripper pole, a pig that sort of makes us feel like we’re at Pink and a performance by Alexandra Alexis featuring a very strange looking instrument. Commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, the evening did Pride Week proud.
  2. Go HERE for more photos by SUNNY NORTON and TAG YOURSELF and YOUR FRIENDS! There’s something about Nascar. You have to hand it to an American cultural staple which encourages full body leather and mullets. The need-for-speed company hosted a celebration of the NBA Draft at M:2, last night. As DJ Cassidy worked the turntables, many a racetrack junkie and basketball fan gathered to burn some of the palpable energy surrounding t-minus one day until the checkered flag falls on this year’s picks and the nail biting ends.
  3. [Chloe Sevigny, Steve Lewis, Paul Sevigny; if these guys can't save NYC Nightlife, no one can. Photos by KrillWasHere] More photo’s from Monday night’s NYC Nighlife Preservation CommunityLaunch party at M2 are surfacing, and this is one of my favorites.* We caught up with* Chloe Sevigny (who upon arriving exclaimed to Steve Lewis-the man working the door as well as his bowtie- “Steve! I’m having flashbacks of Tunnel!” He’s heard that before. Then came Paul Sevigny, that’s DJ Paul Sevigny to you. The co-owner of the recently shutdown west village hot spot Beatrice Inn was carring a huge cardboard box full of white “Free the Beatrice” t-shirts (sister Chloe was rocking hers), that he passed out to lucky fans. So, can NYC nightlife be saved? Well, that’s for you to decide at the polls this primary round. However, judging by the hundreds of people who came out Monday night, all with roledex’s in the thousands no doubt, we are taking a step in the right direction.
  4. Go HERE for more photos by JOHN CARTA and HERE for more more photos by SUNNY NORTON and TAG YOURSELF and YOUR FRIENDS! In these tough economic times, the nightlife industry is facing closures and cutbacks, just like most everywhere else. With a total employment of over 20,000, NYC bars and clubs face sometimes draconian “anti-fun” legislation on top of the grim financial climate. That’s why the newly created Nightlife Preservation Community, a sub-committee of the New York Nightlife Association, was formed — in order to fight back. And what better way to stick it to the man than by having a launch party expressly for those employees who make nightlife happen? What better way indeed: Team Blackbook For more information on the history of parties hosted for employees in nightlife — known as Bartenders’ Balls — check out Steve Lewis’ promo post on the event for his Blackbook blog.
  5. My good friend, and writer at BlackBook, Steve Lewis, has been giving me bits and peices of his latest project he has helped head: The NYC Nightlife Preservation Community (NPC), for almost a month now. Now that the organization has officially hit the ground running, with a new website and even an insider’s party this coming Monday, I felt it was the appropriate time to fill you all in. Steve gave me a mini phone interview yesterday on exactly what the NPC is and* why it’s something he has become so passionate about. I tried to pick out some key points… The Nightlife Preservation Community (NPC) is a group dedicated to defending and preserving the nightlife industry as an integral part of New York’s cultural fabric. NPC was founded in 2009 under the umbrella of New York Nightlife Association (NYNA) in order to combat challenges that not only affect the nightlife and restaurant industries, but the many individuals and businesses that rely on nightlife for significant income. Some key points: The ultimate goal is to save NYC nightlife, a business that brings attracts more people into our city than the NY Yankees, the Giants, the Rangers, The Mets, the Giants, the Jets, all of the Broadway shows put together, and all the Film and Television Industry*. At $10 Billion a year, that is twice the amount that the film industry does. With a roster of over 700,000 emails, and some of the best promoters and marketers this city has to offer, with rolodexes of their own, they plan to get the message out to people regarding which political candidates they support and do not support at the primaries- which are their biggest concern. They plan on using Moveonup.org as a model. “We plan on using our skills and word of mouth to attack those politicians that don’t treat us well.” They also plan on setting up a list of endorsed employees that everyone in the industry wil have access to. They will work on getting NYC to embrace it’s nightlife. Steve compared Vegas’ catch phrase “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas…” to what they would like NYC’s to be: “The city that never sleeps.” This is set to be their campaign line. Finally, this committee is not meant to be an adversarial one. Rather they would like the city to become a cooperative partner with this business, which generates thousands of jobs each year. *Steve was quick to point out that Law & Order crews may close down entire blocks for weeks at a time with no recourse, but if someone is even caught with a cigarette inside a club the entire place could be shut down for days. The Party: On Monday night, the Nightlife Preservation Community will host their launch party for insiders and their friend at M2. Chloe Sevigny will be the host Music will be by Louie Vega, Danny Drivit, Junior Vasquez, The Martinez Brothers, Peter Rauhofer, Q-Tip, The Misshaps, Paul Sevigny, Jus Ske, Mel DeBarge, Eve Salvail, Alex Englis, DJ Berrie, Marky Ramone, and Funkmaster Flex. Tickets are only served to people in the industry, the owners and operators of the clubs and lounges you all go to love.* Though we will be giving out one to a lucky newsletter reader (you must sign up to have a chance at winning. Expect all of the big nightlife players to be at this launch party, and come back for all of our coverage of it and the NPC on their mission to save NYC Nightlife.
  6. Yesterday Merkato 55 filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. Crain’s broke the news that wasn’t much of a surprise given the restaurants inability to capitalize on anything other than their famed boozy Saturday brunch parties.* After changing it’s name to Le 55 this month and using stakeholder Brazilian model Fernanda Mott to market the “new” and “improved” spot, they will attempt to reemerge from bankruptcy. In the meantime, according to the Koch Brothers the Saturday brunch party will continue per usual: “Our brunches will continue on in our tradition at Merkato 55 while the ownership gets the time they need to deal with the ravages of the recession. We know that many restaurants in NYC are suffering now and we will continue to provide our support where we can and deliver the very best experience for our clients at Merkato.” Will this be a move of defiance a la Custer’s last stand, or just the beginning of a new hotspot?* Either way, if a ship is sinking, heck you might as well drink on the way down!* More M-55 pics from the past year below.
  7. [Alexander Dexter-Jones singing with brother Chris, mother Anne and sister Annabel in the audience. Photos by Timothy O'Malley] Ella Lounge & Anti 81 Productions presents Locos Only NYC: Recession proof Thursdays at Ella Lounge with DJ Francesco Civetta and special musical performance by the brilliant Alexander Dexter-Jones on June 4th, 2009. This was Alexander’s first musical performance, in which he performed tracks from his upcoming album, which is in the works. The room was so packed that half of the guests were not able to enter the performance space, and had to listen to the performance form the upstairs lounge. The crowd was enamored as Alexander enchanted them with his musical brilliance and his rock star presence. For his first performance, DJ Francesco Civetta of Anti 81 spun Alexander’s instrumentals as Alexander laid down his intelligent vocals on the microphone. Many people in the audience claimed that Alexander reminded them of an early David Bowie. When Alexander played his song “Sober Tomorrow” the entire room raised their hands up and clapped to the beat. Guests included mother, Anne Dexter-Jones, sister, Annabel Dexter-Jones, brother, Chris Jones, Lola Schnabel, Ally Hilfiger and her photographer boyfriend, Tim O’Malley, Photographer Daniel Weiner, Fashion icon Erin Fetherston and Hedi Ferjani, Famed skateboarders and artists Harif Guzman and Chad Muska, along with many of the cast members of ZOO YORK. Artist Charlotte Filbert, rising model Dani Smith, writer and restauranteur Cristina Civetta, Josh and Jordan Boyd & Darin Rubell (Owners of Ella Lounge and Gallery Bar and Plan , as well as many other guests. After Alexander’s performance, DJ Francesco Civetta, recently returning from playing several exclusive events at the Cannes Film Festival during phase one of his European tour, spun tracks and kept the party going till the wee hours… Alexander Dexter-Jones is a rising star, his musical talent is truly beyond any artist of our generation, keep a watchful eye on him as he is a truly gifted artist and his music will inspire our generation, as well as many to come. 8. [Eugene Remm and Mark Birnbaum celebrate another birthday together. Photos by JOHNNY NUNEZ] Nightlife impresarios Eugene Remm and Mark Birnbaum celebrated their shared birthdays at their NYC nightclub TENJUNE (which is coincidentally named after their shared birthday on June 10th) with close friends. These two may be another year older, but they are not slowing down…team Hampton spotted the pair arriving with their entourage at Pink Elephant, Southampton this Saturday night.* Last night, guests helped Mark and Eugene ring in their birthday at the stroke of midnight. More story and photos below…. - - - VIP guests included Victoria’s Secret supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio, Make Me A Supermodel’s Nicole Trunfio, supermodel Doutzen Kroes, rapper Fat Joe, Rescue Me’s Daniel Sunjata, The Sopranos’ Rob Iler and rapper O’Neal McKnight, among others. In honor of Remm and Birnbaum’s birthday, partygoers were treated to surprise performances including Lil’ Kim, who performed to beats spun by the world famous DJ Cassidy; Kid Cudi, who performed his hit summer single “Day N’ Night;” Wale, a hip-hop artist on Mark Ronson’s record label; Dollaman, who performed his track “Rock This Party;” and Jeremiah performed his hit single coincidentally titled “Birthday Sex.” DJ Ruckus (rumored to be dating Kroes) and DJ Berrie spun sets behind the DJ booth to get club-goers dancing and riled up for the evening’s performances! At midnight, everyone clinked their glasses filled with specialty Absolut vodka and Sagatiba rum cocktails and toasted TENJUNE’s owners to another happy, healthy and successful year! 10. [Hair and Makeup by Yuseff Smyth, clothing and accessories sponsored by Hillary Flowers, photography Chris String, courtesy of Pink Elephant] If you follow nightlife in NYC, you’ve probably heard the name Sally Shan, though you might be curious who she is exactly. Well, Sally is taking the nightlife scene by storm and has big plans for the future. Miss Shan loves throwing parties and strives to give her guests nightlife experiences that truly stand out. We recently sat down with her to learn about the woman behind the name, her rise in the nightlife industry, and the hot spots she’ll be at this summer. We also got her insider take on the intriguing topic of “love in nightlife” (and whether such a thing actually exists.) Read our full interview with Sally Shan below… How would you describe Sally Shan? I think of myself as more than someone who holds parties or promotes- I am creating a complete nightlife experience for people and I also embody the image of that nightlife to some extent. What are your business goals and how do you work? I use facebook and personal touches such as texting or calling friends. On any given day I also have tons of people asking me to where to go so it happens naturally. I am also building a website, SallyShan.com, of course, (what else would it be called?) The website will enable me to interact with everyone on a even more personal level, as you will be able to see what I am up to. Otherwise, I have many goals and a lot in the works- it will all be a surprise. Do you work on your own or with partners? On my own at the moment. A lot of people want to work with me because they like the image I have created and be associated with the “Sally Shan” reputation. I am very selective about who I team up with, as I am looking for people with great personalities, and excellent social skills, who are also business minded and reliable. Ideally they will bring a certain energy and all our crowds can mix and have a good time. I have very high standards for myself and my guests- I am a perfectionist and probably put in a little more work than most. Right now I am building a team who can meet these expectations. What sorts of parties do you organize at the moment and what venues do you work with? I do many private events for celebrities and famous artists-when they are in town they come to my parties. I am working with several different places though primarily with the Pink Elephant. What places do you enjoy spending time at (other than Pink Elephant of course)? I enjoy different lounges; in the summer the outdoor rooftops like Hudson Terrace, the Rivington, and the Gansevoort are great. Visiting new spots is always fun including new restaurants, and bars in addition to clubs. What are the hottest Hamptons spots this summer? Lilypond was very packed on Memorial Day weekend- it was great. The Pink Elephant is definitely going to be a hot spot. Also there are a lot of house parties in the Hamptons, and I will probably be hosting private celebrity events over the course of the summer. Is the nightlife industry your career? I know you also have a background in art and drama production. Do you do plan to keep doing both? I am juggling both still. The arts will always be a major part of my life. I work with a production company on many different theater projects. That said, given the buzz surrounding my work in nightlife and the demand for my involvement from many different people, nightlife is increasingly becoming full time. I am working around the clock! You have received both positive and negative attention and said in the past that all press is good press. How long did it take you to develop a thick skin? I did not prep myself for that sort of attention in the beginning and when I first read the negative comments I literally shut down the computer. I am only human. In time, however, I developed more of a thick skin. People are going to have their opinions and hate on you for no reason, but as long as you are true to yourself and comfortable with yourself, as I am, you build yourself up not to be affected by the nasty comments. The people who are most important in my life know who I am and that the negative comments are not true. How did you get involved in the nightlife business? It happened very naturally. I used to just throw parties for no reason on a regular basis. For example, I would have a craving for, say, Thai food and then invite all my friends out to a Thai dinner. I am a connector and my work now is an extension of that. I come from a family that is very involved in traditional business, as well as an art background, so viewing the nightlife industry as a business is still relatively new to me. That probably keeps me from being overly jaded. Is your work still profitable in this economy? My work is not affected at all- if anything profits are being driven up by the climate. I think people now, more than ever, want the escape and the release of a night out. All right. So now that we have a better understanding of Sally Shan, can you share your thoughts and insider observations on an always intriguing and entertaining topic: “Love in nightlife” ? OK- I will try. This will be fun. How would you define “Love in the Nightlife or in the Club”? Well, I’m not sure if there is one definition. People definitely go out to clubs to socialize and connect with other many different types of people though, and they take their time to look good to do so. They have a certain mindset when they go out. Do you think many people actually make real connections at clubs? Are they really looking for a relationship? It is different for everyone. People have different priorities and desires at a particular moment. My saying is that it is great to meet someone on a Saturday night, but Sunday brunch is when you get to know them. You can make the initial connection at the club, but of course love is something that needs to be developed- it takes time, nurturing, and maturing. A club is a place to meet people, hang out with friends, listen to good music, and have a great time. So there is definitely lust in club, but love takes place outside. The stereotype is that it is difficult to date someone in the nightlife industry. How much truth do you think there is to this? I think that people in this industry meet a lot of different interesting and attractive people out on a regular basis, and whenever that comes into play, there are challenges. What I am looking for, however, is not someone caught up with the whole glitz and glamour of the scene, but someone who is real, and honest, with values similar to mine at the end of the day. Someone who cares about you as a person outside the club. Do nightlife people often date other people in nightlife? Mixing business with pleasure? I couldn’t speak for everyone else, but I would not be surprised. It is a business of pleasure and temptation exists as everyone is putting their best foot forward- they are dressed well and in a dark club. But it all boils to the individuals and their chemistry at the end of the day. It is very important to get to know the person you are potentially seeking to find love with. Are there certain type of girls and guys that you seek to bring out? There is a lot of diversity. The club scene might be viewed as very cliché, because by nature of the club culture you are drawing out a good looking crowd, who wants to have fun, is energetic and is dressed well. So what do your friends expect to find at the clubs you invite them to generally? They are both looking to find love, and just to go out with friends and let loose. Sometimes the club provides an escape from heartbreaks, drama, and a chance to have fun with friends. Do you think guys have a perception of “club girls” or girls of “club guys”? Should people be cautious at clubs? Well, I think the image is that people at a club are free spirited and dancing, enjoying the music. I try to stay in the dark and oblivious about what happens between closed doors. Regarding safety, its important to keep your wits about you. But all the venues I work with are very on point about safety. Can clubs be romantic? They are seductive but not necessarily not romantic. It is a sexy environment and there is a sense of mystery and uncertainty. What makes for the sexiest clubs and what are they at the moment? The sexiest clubs have the best looking crowds and the hottest scenes. My favorites would be Pink Elephant, Kiss n’ Fly, Greenhouse, 1 Oak, Griffin, and The Gates at the moment. But there are so many places in New York to discover. Often it depends who you are going out with. Ok, so what is a romantic date for you? Does it involve the club? For a date I enjoy simple things such as watching a sunset or going to a museum or a Broadway show. It is nice to relax outside my work environment once in a while. But I don’t mind having both experiences. You could have a nice dinner and then still end the night at a club. So does “Love in Nightlife†exist after all? I am optimistic about the possibility for “love in nightlife†and for finding a true relationship. Again, clubs help people connect, but love needs to grow outside- starting with Sunday brunch perhaps.
  11. Go HERE for more photos by SCOTT BUCCHEIT and TAG YOURSELF and YOUR FRIENDS! Last night I attended the St. Jude’s Chocolat au Vin Event at Capitale. My date was Grace Gomez Brea. The event was hosted by Kristin Davis and featured a performance by legend Tony Bennett. Somehow we were seated feet away from the stage and we were treated to an over hour long concert by the amazing performer. After a while the crowd started to get restless and talk and Tony made clear his displeasure! He dedicated the Good Life to Britney Spears and sang his last song acapella. It was amazing. Others experiencing the event included Cuba Gooding Sr., Kelly Brady, Reynaldo Davis, Vincent Gelani, Connor Paolo and our table mate, Tony Sirico, Paulie Walnuts of the Sopranos. After we headed to the Spin Magazine party, thrown by nightlife diva Taylor Choi. The party also served as a birthday celebration for Martin Dawson. Others reveling included Chris Brady, Justin Shaffer, Sarah Basile, Dalia Oberlander, Ali Puliti and William Heath. After a quick walk through we headed to our next stop, The Gates. The Gates was hosting the Stylecaster party and though we missed the majority of it we caught up with Redd Stylez and Cristina Civetta who brought us up to speed. Our final stop of the night was the Griffin for our good friend Adis Gutic’s birthday bash. We were joined by his best friends Eren Pamir, Connor McCreedy, Anela Gutic, Jackie Marie, Tyler. We had the last of our many drinks and then bid adieu. another great, long night.
  12. Behold Avenue. This is the very first photo of the new restaurant/lounge in Chelsea. Even though Avenue officially opens next week, Noah Tepperberg and Jason Strauss hosted a small “friends and family” dinner party to celebrate co-owner Danny “A” Abeckaser’s 36th birthday last night. It was a chance for their closest pals to preview the new space that they have been working so hard on transforming.* Guests included Jason Binn, fashion designer Luca Luca, actor Jesse Eisenberg, singer Ryan Leslie, comedian Jeff Beacher and supermodel Anne V. The small but stellar crowd gathered around 9:30. Click below to find out what everyone was chatting about…. Most everyone we’ve talked to has at least mentioned the Kobe beef slider’s, or the grilled cheese sandwiches that were being passed around last night.* The Strategic Group wrote the rules on how to please a star filled party, so this comes as no surprise. [Best $2k] [Wass Stevens, Danny A] Happy Birthday Danny! We hope Wass brought you a worthwhile present!
  13. [Photos by NEIL RASMUS for W] Tuesday night, Marc Jacobs threw quite the birthday party for his finance Lorenzo Martone. Let’s go over the details: Party at the restaurant/lounge on everyone’s radar (Avenue) that is yet to be opened? Check. Cocktails, sparklers, dancing and cake with 150 of the hottest guests in town including Julia Restoin Roitfeld, Genevieve Jones, DJ Jesus Lux, and Larry Gagosian? Check. Madonna!? Check. Back to the venue.* Avenue, who has been holding private tastings all week, will be celebrating its official opening tonight, welcoming a long list of loyal Strategic VIP’s. More story and photos below… And let’s not forget that other nightclub that Strategic has a hand in: Dune in Southampton, which recently just reopened last weekend as the AXE Lounge (yes, after the spray).* This Sunday they threw a party and invited electro-hop group LMFAO. 14. [inside look at the old space-Earth] Last fall, everyone was talking about Noah Tepperberg and his plan to resurrect “Earth.” the “eyesore on Tenth Avenue” into a new high-end restaurant-lounge, Avenue.* Well, it’s almost time for Avenue to open it’s doors, with soft launchings happening in the coming week/s (time flies doesn’t it?) “This is good news for those seeking a fashionable bite to eat far from the maddening crowds.” Says nightlife guru Steve Lewis.* It’s also a welcome change from our Hamptons coverage.* Take a peek at the proposed menu from last night HERE, and stay tuned on any changes or new news we recieve on this venue.* We are all excited to see what Noah’s done with the place.
  15. [More photos by Pink Elephant] We are gearing up for a wild summer at Pink Elephant in the Capri hotel in Southampton. The Koch brothers have taken over the party there, which means we can expect a solid number of best $2k photos from one of the places that started it all.* Our GofG Team Hampton is just about ready to go full force ahead (look for a major post on what’s going on this weekend later today), but I thought it would be nice to spend today checking in one last time at the Pink Elephant on 27th street. Yes, people are still going. Here’s who…
  16. GO HERE for more photos by SUNNY and TAG YOURSELF and YOUR FRIENDS! Last night at M2 Ultra Lounge in Chelsea YRB (acronym for Yellow Rat Bastard) Magazine hosted its Third Annual “How You Rock It Event” where guests had the opportunity to show off their personal style with fellow industry insiders.* The event was a celebration for YRB’s fall fashion issue, their summer issue release, and the album release of Busta Rhympse LP “B.O.M.B.S.”* With musicians rocking out and cocktails flowing the party pics definitely will help give you a little flavor of the different looks on display. From neon pants to leopard prints to sequined jumpsuits, it was an eclectic and fun mix. Tim Moorehouse, Jason Rogers, Scott Buccheit
  17. [Photos by CHANCE YEH for PMc] That’s right. Micah Jesse has finally graduated from Hofstra University! And, we wonder if the blog guru, who is used to getting everything else comped, had to pay the $15k tuition each year (we don’t think there’s a scholarship for partying). The party was thrown by SVEDKA Vodka and took place at one of Micah’s favorite destinations, TENJUNE. DJ Cassidy was the master of ceremonies and friends like Kat Deluna and Real Housewives of New York’s Jill Zarin were treated to a special performance by O’Neal. All there to make sure they could personally congratulate Micah (and get photographed doing it of course!)* Still, a college graduation party thrown at TENJUNE, is something you can’t say you’ve been to more than once. 18. Go HERE for more photos by STEVEN EKEROVICH and TAG YOURSELF and YOUR FRIENDS! Friday night, Matt Levine took over the penthouse at the Hotel on Rivington for a party dubbed “The Hamptons in the Rivington.” It was a celebration of the anticipation of the Hamptons, Georgica Restaurant & Lounge, which Matt will be helping unveil this weekend. It was also a celebration of the fact that Matt has been given the responsibility of taking over the old Thor space at the hotel. We can’t wait to check it out for our own party with College Humor titled “Yacht Rock” (invite required), and we certainly can’t wait to check in on The Georgica this summer out east. More photos below…

Last Friday, Izzy Gold Records opened up their new headquarters and Liam gathered up his best friends to help him celebrate.* DJ Mess Kid spun amongst guests including dad, Patrick McMullan, Alexandra Richards, Isaac Abrams, Chris Jones, Jesse Blaze Snider, Dee Snider, Tony Sunshine, Alex Young, and Baya Voce. Azikiwe caught all the action. Click below for more photos…
  20. GO HERE for more photos by JOHN CARTA and TAG YOURSELF and YOUR FRIENDS! In case you were wondering, people are still heading to Marquee to party on Thursdays. And, judging by these photos, maybe we all should too. In this one photo at left I spy a gold metallic scrunchie, a hot pink hair extension, CRIMPED hair, a trucker hat, neon pink sunglasses, and a sparkler! It was a apparently John Schwartz’s birthday party (a promoter?) and the theme may have been “Dress in things that you would most like to see make a come back.”* Which would have been fitting to throw at Marquee nightclub.* Anyway, DJ’s ran rampant (Cassidy, Berrie, Jesse Marco, and O’neal* McKnight).

Sharing the spotlight at Kiss N Fly last night, Louis Sarimento, publisher of IMG publications, and Jason Kim, director of marketing and events for Double Cross Vodka, celebrated their 30th Birthdays in style. The Birthday dinner and party, hosted by (what else?) Double Cross Vodka, brought out the club-crowd, all their friends, and a cake for each Birthday boy complete with sparkler candles. We’re not quite sure how fire-safety friendly that is, but we’re sure it was a crowd pleaser. The party, which had a New Year’s Eve feel to it, was complete with Playboy bunnies, a performance by O’Neal KcKnight, and House’s Lisa Edelstein. Oh yeah, and that guy who was on Survivor. 22. [Photos by Pink Elephant] It has been months since we’ve taken a look at Pink Elephant on 27th street. There has been so many new spots (remarkably) opening that we almost forgot about the club that started the “best $2k” columns in the first place. Almost. Now the only question remaining: who is going to take the over the best “best $2k” spot this summer? Will Pink step up to the plate again? Or maybe Dune? The Georgica? The Harbor Club? We will find out soon enough. In the meantime, take a look at what’s going on down on 27th street. More photos…

It’s just about time to check in on our city’s newest nightclub, Griffin. They’ve been open for a solid week now, and, if pictures don’t lie, seem to be up to speed on all things nightlife.* And, if the girls in the masks are any indicator, they seem to have scored that cabaret license of theirs after all.* These photos were taken at the “LUST” party, which is set to happen every Tuesday night.* More story and photos below… Griffin’s “LUST” party is “Where you can truly indulge your fantasies to the extreme with recless abandon…without scrutiny or censorship.”* It’s hosted by Moana and David Lou, doors open at 9pm.
