it's memorial day weekend, 26-28th. . .

and you know how some think techno gets a little too abstract/minimal/experimental - ly? none of that this year, well maybe, afterhours at smaller places, but the hopes are for more "dance-oriented festival" type of atmosphere! i just hope my ankle gets better by then. . .:(

what happened with your ankle? you twisted it? in 6 weeks with proper rest and recuperation it should be fine if it it wasnt to much the damage sustained. RICE should work: rest, ice, compression and elevation.

Celebrating electronic music - the world's most popular new music in the city of its origin - the DEMF 2000 drew 1.5 million people from around the globe to dance on the city's waterfront in its inaugural year. 3 days and 4 stages featuring free-of-charge, non-stop dance music with performances by Detroit legends and internationally acclaimed artists make this a true world party: the largest music event in history.

DEMF 2001 will be held May 26-28 from noon to midnight each day once again in Hart Plaza. This is a free event!

supposedly carl craig didn't secure some contracts for some of the artists lined up for last year's festival. . .got in to a huge dispute with the lady in charge, i forget her name, so craig got fired. . .huge uproar amongst all the craig supporters and friends. . .it was like his thing, joo know? picking the artists, the lineup. so now he's suing whoever the administrative sponsor organization thing is. . .i don't know where the case is at. but derrick may filed to get the name detroit eletronic music festival trademarked a while back. . .

nothing is free from drama sadly :(
