I think the Hamptons may hold the same mystique for NY folk as Miami does for just about most of Europe...a Swedish TV station is paying for a local film company to make them a soap opera called 'Ocean Drive'...with the infamous Liquid as the centrepiece, and a few shots at Nikki. But for them to base a show on rich, yuppie I'm better than you, coked up shitheads is kinda pushing reality tv too far. If I had the money I'd go out there and raise hell throwing the loudest parties pissing all the rich bastards off...just my opinion..... xtreme-1 Posted June 7 Report Share Posted June 7 I have a house out in the hamptons and i have been going there for many years, The Vibe and lifestyle is very much different then SoBe so much so that it really cant be compared. actully one of my favorit clubs of all time more then Space( ibiza) or Sf is out there, The Hamptons are a beutiful place and yes wealthy, ( Tho so are parts of SoBe - the wealth is differnt its more subdued or old money i guess is a way of saying it. This summer I will be spending most of my time in SoBe only flyiong there aobut 4-5 times. However I think there is waaay more coke in SoBe this towns economiy runs off the stuff, And i think the TV show wa totlayy trashy and was not a clear indication of what the place is all about.
