    This Mix Rocks!

hey eric, is this your mix? and does it have a title? i'm downloading it now...will def give it a good listen. hope your doing well! btw, did you change your email addy?
  4. check this stream....Sativae Show with Ben Long on Groovetech - 5.19.03 and if that doesn't work, go to www.groovetech.com and look for "Sativae Show with Ben Long". probably one of the best mixes i've heard this year! but then again he's just a genius anyhow! there's a couple other archives on there from him as well, and they rock too! hard techno to the fullest!!! enjoy.
  5. normally...i would say it takes two to tango and you should deal with the consequences, BUT in this case your friend got totally fucked! if the bitch told him she was on the pill, (although he should have still wrapped it up since he didn't know her) but she lied to him and he fell for it, like a lot of people who end up having kids with people they don't know. the government is fucked up when it does come to shit like this, and as a girl...personally i don't think the woman should always get the better deal in the situation. shit sometimes i think some women should pay the men. if your friend is a good father and wants to keep the kid, i would tell him to fight for him. maybe the legal system will see the light for once and give the child to the better parent. this makes me so upset. it totally sucks to know that there are people out there who just have children not because they truly want them, but instead because of the money they get. there are too many people out there who are unfortunate and can not have children and there are people who just pop them out like nothing.

    Lollapallooza

that line-up is so not worth it! jane's addiction & audioslave are the only two bands i would really want to see, but even they aren't worth $63. went to only one lollapalooza tour in 97', and i think that was the last tour they had before Ozzfest started, don't quote me though. that was a good concert! orbital, prodigy, korn, lost boyz, devo, snopp dogg. but the 96' tour was the one i wish we could have caught. metallica, soundgarden, RATM, cocteau twins (sadly, only learned how much they rock recently) & wu tang clan. damn...gimme a line-up like that and i'll pay $63 bucks gladly!
  7. awwwwwwww bingo <3 congrats babes! jazid is such a kick ass venue! best of luck to Ramon, Danny and the Restricted crew! you guys rock!

    Mobile Phone Spam?

this started happening to me sometime last week! total fuckin pain in the ass!!! i have no idea how they got my cell phone number either. what's even worse is that they call sooo early in the morning too, and all you hear is some 16 year old high school kid saying something about "you have just won blah blah blah, and you have to blah blah blah to claim your prize" i reamed out the last kid who called, and i haven't gotten a call since!
  9. that's lame! ! ! so question, when Tenaglia is in town, and his party is called "Be Yourself", is the whole no sneaker rule still in effect?
  10. don't get into town until Saturday. but good luck, Joe!
  11. i was really looking forward to hearing DHM when i got in on saturday night. -Lena
  12. eddy, i think your explanation helps people understand a bit better. but like i said in the post before, maze is missing a key factor, a good music director!!!!!! that really can't be stressed enough. maybe you should talk to maze, and make them understand that they are seriously lacking in that department. but props to you for sticking up for something you believe in. p.s. joe, i'm a girl. -Lena
  13. whether or not the rumors about Maze closing are true, personal threats are not cool. personally, wmc will be either the making or breaking point for maze. i don't think it has much to do with promotions so much, but yet lack of musical direction! you can promote the shit out of 2 unknown dj's, but yet people will not show. maze, needs a head strong, reliable, well-known, and a true music enthusiast to make it work. if you give the people what they want, you will be successful. apparently, judging by the past couple events they've had with new talent haven't been successful...proving that sometimes change doesn't always work. someone needs to take charge, but that someone should be the right one! example of a great party that has been going strong for a long time: Aquabooty. why? because you not only have 2 of the smartest guys in the scene (Joe & Tomas) but they give the people what they want. a good party, not too expensive, great people, good vibes, and great music. people appreciate that! props go out to the Aquabooty peeps, no matter what it is, there never seems to be drama involved.

    att! lolahotass

Laura, PM me your number chica, i'll be down next saturday. definately have to hang. -Lena
  17. Why couldn't this party be in 2 weeks???? you guys suck, but glad it was a blast!!!
  18. i didn't say it was Alabama, i said don't let it become like Alabama. I wasn't bashing Miami, although...I am stating from what I know, that it's scene isn't what it used to be. i actually love miami, love the people, and all the friends i have there. but really...about 90% of the people who go out, know nothing about music. a simple fact that no matter where tyler played (i.e. Living room) a couple months ago, the same thing happened. 70 people in a club? it would be easier to throw the party in my basement!
  19. Milano, maybe someone else who is better related to the club can shed some light on this, but like I said…right now I’m not physically there to experience all this, but I do hear everything that does happen. And quite frankly, it is very discouraging to say the least.
  20. That’s truly sad!!! I don’t understand how something like this could happen? What is it that people in Miami do not understand? I’m not bashing anyone because a lot of you are good friends and I know you care about the scene…but for fucks sake, WAKE UP MIAMI!!! Do you guys understand what you have? A brand new club, modeled after one of the most legendary clubs in the world. Twilo! Not sure how many of you have ever been, but from what I know Maze is way bigger then it, but yet the vibe and support are probably equal to 1/10 of what Twilo had. Why? Seriously, what’s the deal…why the lack of support, the lack of interest…you’ve had some great talent come through the place in the first couple months of it being open, but yet it seems the bigger the name, the less the draw. You had Tyler Stadius, (Fabric resident) to only be shut down at 3:30? Move him to Lime Bar, WTF??? This does not look good in the eyes of the DJ, and when that happens, you bet your money it will get back and people will not want to come through anymore. Sad, extremely sad. You have some of the most dedicated promoters trying to make a difference and yet it’s just one big flop after another. I’m not just saying this because I have anything to do with Modernism...because I am physically not in Miami to be doing this…but it makes it hard for anyone to want to continue bringing in talent, and even wasting their time when no one seems to care. Sorry for the rant, but I just hear one bad thing after another happening in the Miami scene, don’t become the Alabama of the dance music industry! -Lena
  21. Bedrock party WMC last year was the highlight of the whole conference for me!!! I definately know what I'm doing Tuesday night now!!!! Nerve, please check your email! -Lena
  22. eddy, not looking to start anything, but there wouldn't be a party to promote if it wasn't for Modernism bringing in the talent. just gotta give credit where it's due, that's all.
  23. that has seriously brought me down. that is so sad!
  24. Best of luck tonight...you guys will do great! and Happy Birthday Geoff!!! Have a great one babe! *he wants to get really really trashed* -Lena
