bustaknut2001 Posted July 11 Author Report Share Posted July 11 I always thought jungle is what they used to call it, back in the days of Liquid Sky...Carlos, Soulslinger, and Wally. But nowadays everyone's calling it drum and bass. If anything, the old school stuff sounds better to me. Don't get me wrong, I like the new grooves too. georgym Posted July 11 Report Share Posted July 11 Here is my laymen's attempt and describing the 2:Drum n Bass, hence the name, focuses on these 2 instruments as the main sound. everything else, synth, woodwind instruments (sax, trumpets), and vocals just follows in the backgroundJungle sounds like tripping in a Jungle... more tribal drums, maybe faster bpm, and simply more exotic sounding.Drum n Bass is more raw, Jungle is mroe exotic.
