Looking For After Hours In Connecticut This Saturday

Recommended Posts

I can seriously vouch that afterhours in CT sux!!!! I've been clubbin here for 3 years now and have finally learned that it is better to save my money and make the trek down to NY... once or twice a month. unfortunatly, that leaves 2 other weekends to take care of...the only afterhours club in CT is Vibe...which will be having DJ Sammy this sat night. Its located in Hartford CT and offers both an upstaris and downstaris dancefloor...upstairs is mainly trance, progressive and hard trance, hard house, while downstairs is commercial mainstream house usually. Dont be dissappointed, Vibe is small, its actually a house, but you will find an awesome, friendly crowd there. However, your best bet is just staying at the casino's and hitting up the bars there ;) Hope this helps!

Drive up to Boston, or see if there are any afterhours parties in Providence. Both places are pretty close if you are going to be at the casinos. Vibe in Hartford is a total shit hole, and the only afterhours in New Haven is Gotham Citi, and that sucks too. Good luck

Ok, so there are only two notable after hours in CT and they both are less than impressive... you win, they suck... but there is nightlife. And it's pretty damn good at that.

If you're out at the casinos, better to stay at the casinos. You can try Boston and hit up Axis or Tilt, but you're gonna pay New York City cover charge for something that you may not be happy with. And whoever said Providence is whacked. The Garage is not a good club. Metro is not a good club... neither is liquid, or the complex. I'm sure there are some places that have some sort of vibe, but Providence definitely doesn't rate to CT. In other words, saying Providence is better than New Haven or South Norwalk is like saying Connecticut clubs are better than NYC:blown:

True it's not NYC and it does not have the variety, but there are a couple of scenes that you can check out if you're in CT. Crown Street in New Haven (Take the downtown new haven exit and then exit 1... take a right at some point and there you are) is a strip where if you don't like one place, go somewhere else. Shall I list? Gotham, Neat, Playwright, Alchemy, Bar, Function, Diva, Bottega... On a saturday, Gotham is a good bet, but you're gonna find the best girls at Neat or Bar. Playwright gets a good crowd, but it's kinda stereotypical of what you'd think of a CT crowd.

You probably don't want to head as far towards the city from the casions, but South Norwalk (SoNo) has a stip as well... if you go even further, Stamford has some places worth going to (Premier, Art Bar) but then, you might just want to head down to the city at that point.

If you're from CT and you think it sucks... you're probably sitting at home without any friends or you're a little kid without an ID. Get an ID and get a life.

Thats not true.....Pulse on Sunday mornings is better than any place I've ever been to in Prov.

On another note....Vibe and Gotham Citi are decent because the crowds are awesome, but the music leaves much to be desired. I'm no expert on Conn. nightlife, but I will tell ya that making the hour long journey to the city is completely worth it.

True, true... new york is worth an hour long flight... just as long as you're willing to deal out the dough. Best afterhours outside of ny that I'd ever been to had been System.

That club (one of the two afterhours mentioned before) with Maa bell was ridiculous. The main room was loud loud loud. Always good tunes there. It peaked about the same time glowsticks did, so the crowd was as expected, but it was fun anyways.

I disagree about the crowds at vibe and gotham. As with every place in ct, the people are very inconsistant as far as types go. Clubs go kiddy one week and ghetto the next, then fashion fags, then "i'm trying to be young" old people... I dunno, I'm always out to support ct nightclub (probably because I'm forced to deal with it during the summers for now... but then I'll rank out problems. Ah fuck it, skip ct, go to new york... And if you're at the casinos, stay at the casinos. They're nice and relaxing (as long as you're winning).
