bustaknut2001
I usually go by the New York Times bestsellers. Has anyone read anything by Anne Rice? She writes about vampires and most of her books take place in New Orleans, right?
prism
I just finished a Dean Koontz book - it was really good but i cant remember the name of it. I also just finished Hannibal... excellent excellent book much better than the movie. I now have to read The Red Dragon and complete the series with Slience of the Lambs

gothzane
I finished "Lord Foul's Bane" awhile backIt was about a leper who was outcasted by society. The main character is trandsported into a fantasyworld which clashes against all his beliefs.A wonderful fiction fantasy about the nature of survival.Still...nothing beats the Dune saga. If you've never read anything by her you should check her out... the earlier books in the vampire chronicles are really good (haven't read the more recent ones so I can't vouch for them)... Interview with a Vampire's the first one.
