helixx
Ok, I just downloaded an entire album. Is there anyway (software, etc) to split up the tracks so that when you burn it it's not all one track? Responses appreciated!
mangledx
got cnet.com and get a mp3 splitter....
katari
I use ACIDWAVThe only thing is you have to convert it into wav file first, so it takes up A LOT OF space. And of'course the larger the file the longer it takes to save it. It works like a charm if you have the patience for it.I don't know if it's available as standalone anymore but if you need it let me know, I'll email it to you. helixx
so basically you just listen along and between songs you hit the "add break" button?
katari
For AcidWav you cut and paste. But Mangledx is right, a mp3 splitter would be the best. If you find one please let me know.Mangledx, do you have a favorite MP3 splitter? Thanks
helixx
grrrrr. Ok, i've now downloaded about 20 splitters and none do what I want. They all let you split a file into equal parts, but I want to split it according to songs. Basically I just want to listen, and when one ends and one begins, add a split so they are recognized as 2 different songs. Is there anything like that out there that's free??? katari
Give me your email address or write to me and I'll send it to you later tonight. It's AcidWav. Give it a shot. Take care
katari
I just downloaded Audacity 1.0 from download.com. It worked fine.It opens an mp3 and you can then save it as mp3 as well.http://download.com.com/3000-2170-10119106.html?tag=lst-0-1That should do the trick.
