An event that began eight years ago under the now defunct name of "Spooky", Boo has catapulted to almost icon- like status. _With that being said, one has to wonder, what exactly is a "Boo"? _Sure, Boo can be someone's name. _Boo could even be the name of a store, perhaps for purchasing baby clothing. _Whatever the word/ name "Boo" could translate to; in the minds of fun having, musically- inclined youth throughout the East Coast, Boo has come to mean so much more. _Boo has come to mean, that for one day a year, a collective massive of adults and young adults alike can come together in the celebration of free spirit, great music, and an escape from the not always so thrilling world. _It's great to know, that if we can provide a good time, for even a handful of people for that one day a year, then we've done our jobs. _Serving as an outlet for world- renowned talent, Boo focuses on what is great about music. _It serves to prove, that electronic music as a whole and all it's influences are a mainstay in our culture, no matter who wants to deny that fact. _On October 12th, come share with us the experience that is Boo. NYC'S HISTORIC CONCERT VENUE: RANDALL'S ISLAND (rain or shine)

There will be 8 seperate sound systems, six huge circus style tents. Nearly 700,000

visitors come each year to Randall's Island and Ward island for

sports, recreation & environmentally educational activities. A 480 acre island 300

feet from Manhattan, it houses the legendary downing stadium which has seen

such events as the lollapalooza, horde and warp tours. Randall's island

offers. New York City rare open green space with numerous baseball, tennis, and golf

fields.We are very pleased to be have been welcomed back after a successful and great event on April 20, 2002.

there's like a billion DJs although no one i haven't seen a million times already except for carola, the only one I'm really looking forward to seeing. The techno lineup for this one sucks pretty badly compared to boo 6. Oh well, at least i can still look forward to the upcoming tronic boat parties.

boo 6 was only 2 dollars less. and its not like we "need" two extra dj's to spin, we figured it'd be a great opportunity for those unknown dj's to be showcased in the largest event in the Northeast. and one more thing. just added: Biohazard- the hardcore band who has collaborated with Sepultra, Onyx, Cypress Hill among others and whose bassist plays Hoyt in the hit series Oz on HBO. look out for the full fliers this weekend. thanks.

if you look closely, theres plenty of techno in this lineup. it's just more spread out between several rooms, rather than it all being on one stage.
