It reminds of polyesters....Not the music, but the scene---Bachlorette parties that kind of deal.

The music was tolerable...but I was there with so many girls that they could of been playing heavy metal all night and I still would have had a good time. Glad to hear you enjoyed your evening.....Early this summer, I went to bach party there before hitting tru and there was a handful of bachlorettes, and unlike you and your friends these girls were so busted.....I found one hot bachlorette in the whole place that nite.It is goodplace to just let loose, but not get cracked out at....I think its good for bachlorette parties. Thanks...we really did have a great time....lots of older bachelorettes there...I was the youngest one there.....all of us got a lot of attention that night..it was fun...I wish we had time to check out Tru but we had to be back at the limo by 4:30a I'll make sure I get there for my next bachelorette party j/k
phillyb
every time i have been to Casbah, i liked it because there was always a ton of girls (ratio about 60% girls, 40% guys) and most of the guys there can not dance at all....it is definitely a classier type crowd (unlike Tru/studio), people are doing things other then drinking in casbah, it just isn't out in the open...at allcasbah is one of the only clubs i have been to that they let girls in for free, so the girls flock....the music early on is very commercial with a touch of ny hard house....a lot of the top 40 dance tracks of the moment...ktu type tracks...you will hear the most current vocals early on...as the night gets later (after 2pm), the dj gets to the harder stuff, but still a lot of vocals (i personally love vocals)...i have never stayed past 4, but after 3:30 the music was rocking the 3 or 4 times i stayed that late....overall, the place is very nice...there are dancers in the balcony ares and in a cage (and most of them can really dance well)....and if you are a guy who can dance, the fishies are biting hardcore...just make sure late night you stay away from the side bars as much as possible, because by that time the a$sholes are getting drunk and restless
tempkid
Thats what I'm sayingI love the place, but music is not to good ,though they did drop DARK BEAT and the place went nuts.I headed over to TRUE like 4:30 and the music was sick, but alot of crackheads, kind of like factory.I'm going back next week and looking for Donald and forcing him to bring a good dj like Denny, Teo, or Manny to spin there for the res. Then that place would be off the meter.
phillyb
good luck getting Trump to do anything.....the dj they have now plays for peanuts and the place gets packed, so why pay for somebody else to come in, when you are just going to have to pay them more...it is all about the dollars...the dj also plays what they tell him to play....later on, latenight, he can let loose, but not too loose...you know what i mean.once in a while they do get a big name dj in there...louie devito (if you would consider hime a big name) was there during the summer

cgm
Casbah is fun for a change of pace, I love he atmosphere, but the music is cheesy. I think it is a great place to go with a big group of friends and just have a great time. Tru is great for after hours, but the crowd does leave a lot to desire. I think Im going down there in a couple of weeks. I love AC

All he needs is someone to approach him and sell him a product, like myself. To tell him that there is more to a club then a phat set up and packed house. To tell him that he has the ability to make the CASBAH one of the best club in the east coast. To tell him that Vegas has become so popular becasue of it's casino's and great night life(clubs) He can break the barrier in A.C. from clubs being good to being great. The man has the ability and money to take chances on creating great things. He just needs someone with balls to tell him.

phillyb
no, they didn't raid the place or anything, they just had tons of undercover cops in there and the people selling were idiots and got busted themselves....if you weren't selling then nobody bothered you.if some stranger came up to you and asked you if you could get him 25 bombs and asked you to meet him outside in the parking lot...would you actually take that bait??...they persauded up to 10 idiots to do that 2 weeks in a row!!!!....one guy they followed up to Surf Club from AC...they thought he was going to go home and they would get what he had there without a search warrant, but he went to SC instead and they nailed him there with 10 bombs and some g....these are the facts, i used to hang out at studio/Tru and knew a few of the people that got nailed...they weren't considered friends by any means, just people i knew got rid of stuff down there.....and some friends or friends

phillyb
yeah, Tru/studio always had undercovers there, but in august the state really sent a task force in there to clean up, usually happens in the summer, never as bad as this past...because now the place is being broadcasted on radio and advertised everywhere...it used to be an underground place, which it was when it was good.Merge really got raided....i was in seaside when it happened...i was walking drunk as $hit and the cops had the streets blocked off...craziness... When I went to Stockton me, my girlfriend, and about 20 others used to hit delirium in margate and studio (before TRU existed)...The place was definitely different then it is now...I still think TJ still tears it up, and my friend shameek spins there too.Merge--I was out-of-my-skull when the place was raided, lights came on and I had cops standing in my face...I just smiled and walked right out the door. houseduchess
tempkidFirst of all, no one ever said he created Casbah for $$$. The fact is that it does bring in $$$ right now w/out the expense of a big name DJ, so I sure his current policy is why mess w/ a good thing (didn't they have to open up Xandu w/ Casbah b/c it was so crowded???). And, lets all remember what a big name will also bring......right now, party favors are not causing a problem there. It's more known as a drinking crowd, and consequently he has less to worry about. Now, granted I don't know you, but your idea isn't all that original. Nothing that you've said isn't anything we all haven't heard or said before. And, if I am correct, those w/ residencies in Vegas at the popular places are NOT big names. The big names come as guests. As for AC becoming Vegas, that is what they have planned. There are about 10 new casinos slated to go up in the next 5 or so years. I even think that one opening up soon is supposed to house a new club. But, it's not going to happen overnight. Before Casbah, what was AC known as? Not a classy place, that's for sure. If you really think about it, Casbah ALREADY did something; there are people there that would never have gone clubbing in AC before it opened. You have to take baby steps, and sometimes even go backwards, in order to reach your goal. Casbah has created a new market. Once you start bringing in different guys and exposing the patrons to other sounds, you create an even larger market for other genres as well. Now, when club after club begins to open up in AC, they are going to bring in the talent in order to bring in the people and the $$$.Of course, Studio will always have their niche....And, btw, what was that rather lame plug for??? Are you hoping Trump decides to read this thread and pm's you for your advice?
