From funky disco house to retro sounding house to tech house to breaks. Every genre was covered. He has completely redeemed himself. I have never dance so hard in my life; it’s like you wanted to take a break, but Danny was like no not yet. He destroyed the blue room. laying it all out tech, trance, house, breakbeats, he just brought it all. Big props for Oscar for closing out.Oscar Danny killed me I stayed for like an hour of your set, and I was out of freaking gas. Thanks OG for taking time to chill, with the crazy cp folks for awhile .. Managed to hit the patio for a bit, firstly Biz the Patio looked awesome. Secondly big props to Roly what I heard was very nice; I like the energy you create. something that’s been lacking on the patio as of late. Following James Zabiela's excellent Crobar set the night before, Danny Howells once again graced the decks at Space in Downtown Miami. Fresh after his end of the month set @ Arc in New York, Danny delivered a blinding unforgettable set for the Space massive. With the opening duties were Desyn Masiello (Sex On Wax), one of the brightest young dj / producer's out there at the time. Holding the crowd up perfectly blending in his signature funky progressive house sound, Desyn from start to finish set the mood and the crowd perfectly for Howells. At around 1:15am, the man that needs no introduction took the reign's while the rabid crowd was cheering, whisteling, jumping, and screaming in anticipation. Danny with a big smile on his face responded by waiving, jumping and pointing back at the crowd. He started off his set with some choice funky house, slowly building up his set superbly and working the crowd to the tee. This defenitely has been the best of Danny that I've seen, dropping down current floor destroyer's such as Murk's "Circles", Danimotion's "Kinky Obsession" and his own remix of Krystal K's "Let's get it Right". Believe me ... He got it right. As he was hammering relentelss beats through the massive EAW Avalon system, the crowd was very responsive shouting out his name with hands in the air setting a vibe in there that was bar none. I haven't seen Space this lit up for a special guest in awhile and that's an indication of the type of DJ that D.H. is. This conference like set further solidified his world renowned status as one of the best DJ's in the world. Kudos to Space for the booking. While Danny was manipulating the Blue Room like puppets, Roland was tearing off the patio roof with his choice selection of deep and funky progressive house for the patio junkies. He was on point and was thoroughly enjoying the people's energy and feedback. Highlighting my stay there was John Debo and Steve Porter's remix of Bernard Howard's "Marscarter" and the patio was rocking all through out. It was nice to see a great overall crowd @ Space this evening enjoying all the DJ's sets. As I made my way in once again to the main room, I could hear the filtered beats at the exit of the patio. Once again entrancing me, I started dancing like a mad man. I danced so much that at one point in time looked like I ran the 3Mile Corporate Run through the streets of Miami; not a pretty site. Danny rocked it out like a superstar until one half of Murk, Oscar Gaetan took the decks and delievered an excellent follow up set. Working the horn like only Oscar knows how, the crowd was screaming and singing along to his current release under Twisted Records, "Dark Beat". All in all I had a great time @ Space tonight and I must congratulate the Space staff tonight for promptness and courteousness throughout the night. I would like to thank the great company that I was with: Lee, Zuly, Biz Martinez, Jesse, Meli, James Sheridan, Marick, Leo Luv, Marcos, Pete Dekan, Stacey, Abraham, Javier C, Kris Leigh, Andres, Tony, Ramon C, Joey, Oscar Gaetan, Greg "Stryke" Chin, Vicman, Roland, Beatfriek and Koky for such a wonderful night. If you go back to your fav 3 sets of all time, only the recent picotto set would be in there for sets that I have in my top 3 all of time, the other two are much older sets, from a few years ago. Good crowd, good vibe, good time is NOT grounds for placing it in your top three. At least say its one of DH best sets you've heard, but placing it in your top 3 of all time, means you need to step back a second and relect on the other great sets of the past. Somes of yous are either too young or didn't have a fake id at age 18 so you haven't been around the block enough. PS thank kristen for booking DH. Though the booking of DM at spin has been questioned, everyone I talked to that was there, all said he was not good at all and should not be the headliner. < the saleen was right again! < spin should be happy that the club spin crowd does not show up for the music. Word on the street is the Patio, looked good and sounded good. I like what Biz is doing out there, and I will support him and roland, but sorry once the cheese gets on, I grab my pigeon of the week and I head home!ps digital, nice review.also the post count on this thread will go above 50...
