glowgrlnyc
from my credit Card company...they told me that someone has duplicated my credit card and used it @ the Woodbridge Mall yesterday...they said that this is one of the highest levels of credit cards frauds......But by the 3rd time the person tried to make a person the transaction didnt go thru because my credit card company has a fraud protection program, that If there too much transaction on it in a shory amount of time they make the store cashier call up to verify the purchase......My Cred. Card Company told me that someone has actually copied my magnetic strip from my card and placed it on another card....and they said this is usualy done by a store owner that I purchase from......now Im gonna look @ ALL my freakin receipts and FiND OUT who the FREAKIN CROOK IS!!!!! nycchic24
when i used to work in the stores, i caught a couple ppl using stolen credit cards... i had two people escorted out by security and antoher one i had refused to let one person use a credit card cuz it was not his. He did not have a not saying that he was allowed to use it and didnt give ma phone number to verify that it was his "girlfriends" Later on i got questioned about the police, about that transaction(cuz i voided it) it seems like i was the onlyone that day that checked signatures/names. He rang up like $5K in Champs and antoher$3K some other store Here's a tip: write "ask for photo ID" on the back of your card instead of your signature. that a) is a back up for the cashier to ask for more id and your card is actually not valid unless it is signed. (when you get a new card... this si atcually in the "small print" somewhere ) SO if someonen does steal your card and the cashier doesn't check for id/signatures, this protects you against any of the purchases they make. sorry that happend to you glowgrl... hoep you find the crook\!
