Ahh.. but Highmay my dear.. I'm on the other spectrum of that.. no I haven't followed them for years and no, I have no clue what they look like (except from a picture or two online) HOWEVER.. I've heard absolutely wonderful things from all sorts of people whom I value their musical taste, and they are absolutely amped for it.. they tell me how fucking insane they are, and I, in my right mind, would not miss it cause I wanna hear it for myself! People have been waiting and waiting to hear Parks & Wilson and I am actually quite excited that I get a chance to hear them tomorrow. There are many DJs out there still that I have not heard spin live but would be excited to hear because I like their style, their tracks, their productions, etc.. just because I haven't followed a DJ for years or for their entire career does not mean I cannot be extremely anxious and excited to hear him when he comes around. I look at it as an opportunity to expand my horizons and experience the sounds that are so talked about and that I like..
