ANIMAL CRUELTY AMENDMENT: LIMITING CRUEL AND INHUMANE CONFINEMENT OF PIGS DURING PREGNANCY --inhumane treatment of animals is a concern of Florida citizens; to prevent cruelty to animals and as recommended by The Humane Society of the United States, no person shall confine a pig during pregnancy in a cage. crate or other enclosure, or tether a pregnant pig, on a farm so that the pig is prevented from turning around freely, except for veterinary purposes and during the prebirthing period; provides definitions, penalties, and an effective date.

This passed??!!:eek: ....Great!! no more "lechon" on "Noche Buena"...us Cubans are gonna suffer now...:tongue:

I know!:rolleyes: I couldn't believe it passed either. I love animals to death (oops! no pun intended!)...and at first I was going to vote 4 it to pass, but then I really really thought about it and decided to vote no. I mean, not for nothing, but this has been going on for yeaaaaars with all types of animals...not just pigs. So now the pig thing is gonna pass and pork prices will go up bc it'll be more expensive to keep them and kill them and whatever else they do w/em. next thing you know it's the same issue with cows, then chickens, then fishing laws, then it's gonna be with the cats used for chinese food and on and on and on....que mierda...b4 u know it we're gonna be paying a lot more $$$ for food:blank:
