mala
I want to fly a friend home to his family for Christmas. Sadly, ticket prices are getting steep. Does anyone know of any resources where I can find cheap tickets? Any suggestions are welcomed.

3trinity
depends on where he is flying - domestic, international?go to each airline's web site and subscribe to their e-mail notifications. The best deals are sent out from the airlines directly, usually once a week. Hope that helps
mala
I just checked out skyauction.com. Seems like they have a lot of good travel deals. The tax is a bit high for domestic travel. Has anyone ever used this service? Wondering if they are reliable....some of the auctions seem a little too good to be true.

I haven’t tried skyauction myself, but a friend of mine bought a trip to Europe on it for pretty cheap. I’ve been meaning to try it myself to see how it works out. You just have to pay attention to the restrictions on flying dates and locations, and there is always extra fees (at least $150/flight). Good luck, if you try it.
