You should read a book by Stephen Brauhn called "The Science of Happiness: Unlocking the Mysteries of Mood".. I finished it recently for a psychology class.. but it's actually quite interesting.. it's not a text book or anything, and Brauhn isn't even a psychologist, he's a writer.. and you can find the book in almost any bookstore. It's a best seller, etc.. I highly recommend it. Quite interesting.. has to do with inborn set points of moods, oscillations around that set point, how some people's set points are lower than others which makes them more melancholy, how he thinks there is a solution, etc.. :D
