mala
Well...according to 'The Associated Press Stylebook and Libel Manual', it is:gray-Not grey. But: greyhound. As for the others:kidnap, kidnapped, kidnapping, kidnappertravel, traveled, traveling, travelerinquire, inquiry-Not enquire, enquiry. As for British spellings; don't use them unless they are used in your country.

As for British spellings; don't use them unless they are used in your country. different stylebooks and manuals (i.e. chicago's, associated's, etc.) will always have a preference of one or the other, but all of the ones i listed have dual spellings that are accepted by all dictionaries i've read (merriam-webster's, oxford english, american heritage). stylebooks are more decisive, as they are manuals of style. but i think the brits should stop fucking with english and leave the french spellings to stay in french. mala
Well...not using British/French/Whatever spelling is my opinion. I'm tired of pseudo-intellectual Americans doing this. Ditto with Americans who try to intertwine their everyday language with Brit talk. Don't ever tell me you are need to find a flat with a lift on Madison Avenue. I don't give a shit about that semester abroad you did at Oxford. No excuse.
