bigpoppanils
i dont think bush is getting re-elected...even if we go to war and if we winBush Sr. lost the election even after winning the first Iraq war, and he won the popular vote in 1998. What chance does bush jr have?

monicac
I don't think so 25% of all US foreign aid still goes to Israel.

What chance does bush jr have? If we go to war, and win (which we will in more ways than one), Bush will win in a monumental landslide...And Bush still maintains a very good overall approval rating, which is remarkable considering the amount of unsuccessful attacks Dems have and still launch against him.... mr mahs
Originally posted by bigpoppanils clinton's was higher during his impeachment proceedings Diffrent.. The average american thinks the economy is controlled by the president and that is incorrect.. They reward clinton for the robust economy which is also the farthest from the truth.. The slump in the economy is not Bush's fault it is cyclical and began to erode in the last years of "CLITON"

monicac
Maybe it is because the US was trying to get support from Jordan. The weekend before Bush's speech one of the top officials of the Palestinian resistance was assasinated by a bomb dropped on his car while he was driving home from work. the population of Jordan is largely Palestinian and everyone knows the US supports Israel, so the massive protests in Jordan were also anti-American, meaning they are definitely not going to lend us military support. Unless Bush says something.
