Very interesting place, an eclectic group of wierdos, dancing alien's, drag queens, samuri, wacked out locals, and lots of pretty people. Thumbs up for me. The sound in the place is perfect. And even well tweeked for the room (esp on opening night!) when it obviously could shake the foundation apart. The staff & dancers are some definate characters, music was up beat (w/ lots of vocals) and had everyone smiling and dancing. The crowd did thin out a bit early. But you can tell this place will have some legs.Overall, A- on opening night. While the place may not be everyones cup of tea, it def, has a vibe all its own, and is a wonderful option when looking for a bit more entertainment than the typical night out at space.Not sure if it is a place to spend an entire night, mainly due to size, but def a place to check out. housekat Posted March 18 Report Share Posted March 18 this is not meant to slam you guys i really wish you great success at creating a alternative to the miami beach bullshit. this is my critisisim & i hope you take it constructivly. first off the mice in the bar thing is totally fucked (not in a good way). i went with a crew of 6 people & they all agreed the music was really bad. this was self evident by the fact that for the hour & a half we were there no one was dancing except the people that were paid to. my whole take is the place is trying way too hard. just give people a space that they feel comfortably to be who they are & all the crazy shit will happen naturally. you don't need mice in the bar, space aliens, midgets or whatever... get some good music & some really cutting edge conceptual stuff going on please!!! andy w & drag queens are so tired. also the short door guy (who i saw picking up a really nasty prostitute on collins the other night) is a dick.best of luck.
