but i would imagine that it would greatly depend on who is on before me and who is on after me

It really all depends on the flow thats going on right then and there. I can never really figure out what the hell i am playing before a gig. Just go with the flow and see what works u know.

Obviously have an idea of what tracks u wanna play but if u have a playlist and just follow it through religously thats just dull and takes away from what you are trying to do. Which is get the crowd absolutely fucken wild

its really about what you play through out your set rather than the opener and the closer....

When Im Playing A Club I Usually Close With A Soul House or Garage Track like

Dido- Hunter (Francois K Mix)

Blaze- Lovely Ones

NuYorican Soul- Runaway

But at a rave or Ultra your usually have to close with an upbeat song

Actually no Im not.

Sure I picked 2 songs that are mainstream but the production on their remixes is awsome

The Betterman remix was a staple track @ Twilo played first by Jnior Vasquez and then a Sasha & Digweed Staple

and the Prince track was featured on Fat Boy Slim's Big Beach Boutique DVD so tell the 100,000 or so people at that party that Im kidding for me alright!

You are right, as was proved by that DVD - funky house owns the "daytime beach massive scene"

To me, epic trance or deep house doesnt really work well outside of a club...but funky house - come on now, that shit is made for the beach! fun in the sun!

Now that i have come to this realization, i take back my other selection.
