OT: Good Book Suggestions

Recommended Posts

I'm finally making it over to the library later today and was wondering if anybody had any advice/suggestions on some good reads. I'm going to get the books listed below (and would love to hear your opinions on them), but feel free to recommend other good reads. Thanks!

Disco Bloodbath - James St. James

Valley of the Dolls - Jacquline Susann

Whatever I can find by Candace Bushnell (author of Sex and the City)

Anything else?

What kind of books do you like to read?

My favorite Authors are Dean Koontz and Richard Laymon.

They are both Non Fiction writers with some Krazy ass stories. But Richard Laymon tends to be bit more raunchy in his writing

Thank you! Everything you guys suggested sounds good, hopefully the library will have some copies in when I go, since most of the books are new top sellers.

Chula - I've read some Dean Kootz novels and enjoyed them, are Richard Laymon's along the same lines (thrillers?)

What time do you get off work today? I have to get that Clubland book from you.

By the way, did you ever read Porno?

Yes they are. Actually Dean Koontz did a prologue in one of richards books. He is a fan of richard.

The Main difference that I've noticed is that Richards Books use sex more. There are some very nice sexual scenarios in his stories. Not too much to turn it into porn but just enough. I have almost all of Dean's Books and I have about 5 of richards books already.

So if you decide to read Richard's Books let me know what you think.

I read reviews on Amazon for both of these and they sound good too. Looks like I've got plenty of books on my list now. Thanks!

I'm not sure yet when I'm heading out. And no, I haven't read Porno yet, or Trainspotting.
