Besides, you're engaged, so you don't have to dress nice to impress the guys anymore. I'm sure your fiance will think you look fine either way i dress up to go clubbing. i wear a frick'n suit from Monday thru Friday at work so I like to get funky on the weekend! i still like to impress my honey even though we're engaged. but it's true, just get styled up some. and i only WHINE whenit comes to trance not clothing. AT was whining!
picottofan
Easy, pod easy. I never claimed Orlando is a trend setter. Yet the ironic thing is that dress codes aren't enforced in Orlando, and you still will not find the new "King James" (Lebron James) shoes or any other sneakers for that matter. Kenneth Cole makes a sweet pair of athletic fitting dress shoe that I wear to Space all the time. And when I'm in Space at 8 in the morn I don't want to feel like I'm in some damn gym. Space isn't a fucking rave, it's a club.

pod
I know that. But at 8 AM on the terrace, I'll be wearing something very comfortable. You know how hot it gets down here these days? I'm not gonna be bound up in my $2000 Armani shirt and slacks. Also, I'm not gonna wear that to a club, I learned the hard way that good clothes get fucked up in any club, be it Space 34, Opium Garden, or anywhere else. I lost a $200 shirt once cause some twat spilled a vodka cranberry all over me. I tend to wear items I'm not hesitant to part with. Not to say sloppy, but let's put it this way...pod: camera by Canon, wardrobe by Ross, Dress for Less. You're lucky to catch me in $40 worth of clothing on any given night. picottofan
Pod , it seems like we are somewhat on the same page. I had some tool use one of my good shirts as an ashtray because he thought his cigarette was a fucking glowstick. I' m not saying there should be a "strict" dress code, just some guidelines. Hell, I even wear a sleevless shirt with jeans sometimes ( and haven't even got a 2nd look from the door guys). But I can't blame Space for drawing the line at sneakers. I think everyone should be presentable, and that keeps the girls coming back.
pod
Actually sometimes it is. Last night it was...$15 CK knockoff jeans, free t-shirt from the Michael Tronn art gallery opening I went to the day before.

My favorite door policy has always been "doorman's discretion"...bascially if you act the part, and aren't a slob, all sorts of sins, real and imagined, are forgiven. lolahotass
First of all, even when AT wears jeans and sneakers, he's still fuckin' HOT and he has (what Stefan is lacking) STYLE. He should be able to go in there with sneaks on. I see nothing wrong with a guy with sneakers and jeans on. A.) it's hot as fuck in there. B.) it's a CLUB for DANCING, and those clothes are comfortable for most males. C.) Going to Space is different than a lounge. I think Lounges are perfect for more dressed up - "lets be social and drink good booze", type places. I'm not saying lets let in every candy-raving annoying fuck with pacifiers hanging from their necks in to Space. I mean, if you dress nice, then fuck it, why should sneakers matter?I'm a chick and I have never worn jeans to a nightclub. I find myself to be more comfortable in a skirt or nice slacks, but that's my opinion. As for going to Space, I don't wear the same nice clothes I would wear to a lounge only cuz it's a nightclub with people twisted out of their faces and they are bound to use you to put out their cigs or spill drinks on you. Yeah, it's an accident, but still, it happens. My $0.02 Woo hooo PICOTTO next week:tongue:

shroomy
lol.... AT it the prototype of the space clientel, and he gets denied.(rest of post is not directed at AT)I personally think somewhere has to cater to the rif-raf, and since space has such a huge head start, they should capitalize on it. Besides, it keeps them out of the good clubs.BTW why do I like clubs that have a dress code? Because the women dress hotter there. You can always stay home and dance in your fruit of the looms. Space 34 has managed to up its reputation with the female crowd and I'm sure the improved dress code has something to do with it. go to sound factory there tons of kids wearing addidias pants and puma seat suitsthey dont have any problem and everyone there looks good(well NY just has better lookin people)has best vibe and is comfortableur attitude is what makes ur apperancespace has a female crowd and the only ones who are dressed up are the strippers and escorts thet the guys rent for the night cause they cant get real women, the other 1/4 of females go to gold dig and free load off guys for drugs and booze then there are the 1/4 of chicks who actually go for the music and to have funand they are the ones who dress comfortable
sgtfury
i think the point is being consistent...i went into space on july3 looking like a homeless person..i had on sneakers, high water pants and a sleeveless shirt...it seems that the "rules" only apply some of the time...
