Guest brwneydtrouble
To get an effective stretch, you have to do it often, and sustain your stretch, never bounce it. Each time you stretch a muscle, just hold it. Then the next time, hold it and push it a little more. Make sure to remember to breathe. Look into yoga if you REALLY want to stretch and get flexible. I used to dance ballet three times a week, PLUS work out at the gym and the yoga classes still kicked my ass.Otherwise, a really great book to look into is the New York CIty Ballet Workout. Not really what you are used to, but I highly doubt that any supplement will lengthen your muscles and give you the flexibility you want. Now THAT was an experience. Need to get back into it, I might go and check out Miami City Ballet. When I lived on South Beach, I was only there for 5 months and 3 buildings burned down, in a 3 block radius. I love those old buildings, but they are very dangerous. *lol*
