ghhhhhost
is there a diff. between like athenian and cypriot dialects? ..because i know some people from serbia wouldnt understand my montenegrin-coast dialect...just like people from central croatia have a hard time understand the dalmatian dialect

phatman
...yes...the dialects are different...it can range from subtle variances of spelling to entirely different words...add to that, there's more of a sound difference to the entire language - comparable to how portugues has a lot of sh sounds and castillian spanish has the th sounds... fierydesire
I wanna learn portugueseIsn't that weird how some dialects change throughout the country. Like If I went to towards the eastern part of Turkey, people wouldn't understand what I was saying and vice versaweird
