[hence the owl as the avatar] observation is one of the ways through which we gain wisdom (and vision is only one way in which we observe things). i really came up with it on the spur of the moment, back in december of 2000. i had no idea at the time that i was setting myself up for a future of being called "WEY-ess" and having people assume and accept my screenname is nonsense .anyway, wisdom is something to be gained every day, that's my point. i never said i'm wiser than anyone else . my "wisdom of the day" column on the the l.a. forum is sometimes thought-provoking, sometimes silly, but it's there everyday, and that's what it's all about .
