Recording a mixed CD

What would I need to make my own mixed CD? Obviously a mixer, 2 CD players, and an amp, and a computer - but what else? Special software or can I just use Nero?

Is it hard to hook up stereo to computer?

Can someone point me in the right direction.

Nothing fancy, just the simplest way.

Thanks!

1st u dont need an amp....

I plug my output on my mixer into the one of the inputs on my computer (ex. mic)and adjust the eq and volume so it sounds right....I record it....then I use cool edit to split the tracks ...if I even bother

and what do u mean is it hard to hook up to a stereo ?? its 2 rca wires....one red and one white....they go in to the red hole and the white hole on a extra input on your stereo...

Tables to mixer, mixer to line in on computer...I use musicmatch plus to record, plus it'll play also, I got surround on the comp so that acts as the Stereo, and record away.

Splitting Tracks I use NERO. Figured out how to do it once but forgot so now I gotta go futs around with this shit again!
