djprotege Posted November 5 Report Share Posted November 5 Sportcenter today said that Pettite has told the Yankees he will not re-sign with them when he files for free agency. He's from Texas so people are saying that he's gonna go there on a 4-5 year deal and end his career at home.The Yanks might not wanna worry about going after Guerrero or Sheffield and go after a big name pitcher. Remember when they were saying Jason Kidd wouldn't sign unless they got rid of Byron Scott. Look where he ended up, still w/ the Nets. Basically nothing is 100%, so its best to just sit back and wait to see what George does next. If he wants Petitte back he will do everything to get him back no question.
