dogekid
Originally posted by ultracrzy can't get on AIM @ work , get fatal error crap they prolly have their firewall up to intercept ingoing/outgoing packets for the port that AIM defaults to. you can either try going into your connection settings on AIM and searching for a new port that they may have left open, or....TCP Tunnel 2.0go dload this trial version of tcp tunnel. i'm still trying to find a crack for the full version, but what this basically allows you to do is set up TCP/IP connections through your http proxy server(s) and allow connections to get through the firewall (long story short)

scruffe
How's Redhat work out for you. I've got a copy but I nver installed it. I'm considering a dual boot with XP. Right now I've got a dual boot with xp and win98... but since i put in a new processor win 98 freezes at startup. Anyone happen to know why that is? Anyone happen to know why that is? it is nice. i rarely ever boot windows these days. i have a dual with xp pro and redhat 9.0 (i just upgraded). i have been running redhat since version 5.0, back when you actually had to know what you were doing to even get into xwindows, so i can pretty much do anything on it now... i remember when the install was text, now it is so easy. most of my hardware is supported. i have to get some linux ipod software and i will never boot windows again LOL. there is no reason to. i can use redhat to surf the web, run a small server, an http site, burn cd's, do graphics, all the software is free & it is stable. plus, i like the feel of linux, highlight automatically copies and the scroll button pastes, i like the tabbed style browser (mozilla), it is faster, i am comfortable with it & i save time... the best part is i have access to all my windows stuff in linux, i can play video files & mp3s, view images, manipulate them. the only things i miss are using photoshop, & stuff like that but i use it at work everyday so i have no deisre to use it at my house these days.
