My friend just emailed me....and IM STILL IN SHOCK!!!!

">Glen & i were on a plane to California.

>a stewardess was rude to us.

>we laughed at pictures of her we both drew out of frustration of her rudeness.

>we were later threatened "so much as one more smile or smirk" and you will be taken off the plane by an U.S. Air Marshall upon arrival

>in Los Angeles.

>these pictures were funny to us...

>UNFORTUNATELY THIS IS NOT A JOKE."

Here's my philosophy on air travel:

Don't bother me, and I won't bother you.

This applies to fellow passengers, ticket agents, and flight crew.

I usually have really good flights, but my last trip was unbearable. I flew Jetblue for the first time from New York to Fort Lauderdale. I did the whole e-ticket thing, so when I got to the airport I had to go to the ticket counter with my itinerary and give the agent my name. I presented him with the info and he typed something into the computer. He then looked at me and said, "I'm sorry, but we don't have you booked on this flight." My jaw dropped to the floor, and before I could start stammering out, "but, but, but," he burst out in laughter and said, "just kidding." Not funny. My returning flight from Fort Lauderdale was at 11pm. I was tired, and I planned on sleeping on the way home. When we started to board, a member of the ground crew was there giving out earphones. I told him I didn't want any, and he looked at me with an expression of disgust. Whatever. I boarded the plane, took my seat, and waited for take-off. The same dude came onboard announcing that it was last call for earphones. He proceeded to walk down the aisle, and as he passed my seat, he tossed a pair of earphones at me like a frisbee, hitting me in the chest. If I wasn't so tired and eager to get home I would have made a scene and made sure he was reprimanded. Instead, I resolved to never again fly Jetblue. Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time adhering to my principles, because I can't turn down a one-way fare of $69.

Yeah, I usually would have, but it was late and I was upset about leaving someone I really care about behind in Florida. I knew I would have totally flipped and been escorted off the plane by airport security. The last thing I wanted that night was to be cavity searched.

And the Blue Terra Chips?....Yummy!...the only thing I liked about Jetblue was their selection of snacks. And of course the Direct TV and the super cheap airfares.

The only way that I would ever let go of my bag would be if you came over here right now and tried to pry it from my dead, lifeless fingers, okay? If you can get it from my kung-fu grip, then you can come and have it, okay? Otherwise, step off, bitch.
