well my peepz it's getting to be that time of year. conference time. what were some of your craziest wmc experiences.one of my top experiences was at opium 2002 for their hooj choons party. i got to hear tom middleton, freq nasty, tayo, and red jerry.and met some girl from ohio who turned out to be a playboy fuckin bunny:jawdrop: then to top that off the following evening she took me to see hands down the best set i have ever heard carl cox @ crobar w/misstress barbara:bounce:

no holes barred peepz i want some dirt on this thread;)

last year i played at the National for the Recording Academy Party with BT... the thing was they assembled a panel for a discussion on how to bring awareness to music.

The panel consisted of Steve "silk" Hurley, Tracy Young, Roger Sanchez, Ken Jordan(Crystal Method) and of course BT. All legends in their own rights! Talk about being nervous, I was a mess, its one thing to play with another big gun but to play for them... anyways all went well and afterwards BT played a live set for just like 300 people and blew us all away!

Avenue D at the Whitelaw, 2 super trashy white chicks from the lower east side, rapping pornographic rhymes over electro beats

from their song called Don't Get too Drunk to Fuck

"if you pass out going down on me, I'll wake you up with a mouth full of pee"

and other nastiness

WMC 2002:

Meeting all the Chicago Cro-kiddies at the Whitelaw... then heading to Timo Maas at Crobar.... what a night... good tunes and good peeps... the Chicago kids can fucking Par--tay!

WMC 2003:

Rumi - VIP guestlist party... not so much for the tunes, but meeting all the NY/NJ kids from VIP.... and of course, the LES party at Maze... the music wasn't on point early on - but after LES, the guys after were fuckin' dope:)

Fav party though was Picotto @ Space... had a blast ;)

My fave WMC moment was back 94-95 (not sure) when Richie Hawtin was playing at a small warehouse ambient/trance club in Fort. Laud called Global Warming. It turns out there were some skinheads living in the whse directly behind it. Apparently, they

were not big fans of electronic music and/or they're sleep was being disrupted. They seemed to have shot a flare gun in some small opening through the wall. Well, you can imagine the mass chaos that ensued. Pretty sure Stryke was there. He prob remembers more about that night than me.

2001 - Seeing Donald Glaude and Jason Bentley at Ultra....the stage or slot they were suppose to play were moved so they spun at this little tiny tent off to the side. You could actually hang out right in back of the decks. Perfect setting for Glaude IMO, close enough to watch the DMC trickery, hear him cut the music and shout to the crowd and for him to come out and dance with the crowd as he was spinning.

2002 - Tango Party at Rain w/Jay-J, Chris Lum, Andrew Macari and Migs. All night these guys were rocking very up beat funky house, nothing really deep. Anyways, I was chilling on the couch mid-way through Jay-J's set just taking a break from dancing like a fool and just really really feeling the drinks etc etc...when I hear what sounds like perfectly laid vocals.....I stand up to see Latrice on the mic just belting out over the crowd....the whole place just went insane.

2003 - Hands down one the best sets I have ever seen anyone throw down.... DJ Heather at the Allworld party at Bash.....just completely destroyed the dancefloor, best I have ever seen her.....that night brought me home.

probably the night that is responsible for my love for this muzik. with artists like anthony pappa, dj remy, max graham, dave seaman, slacker, and chris fortier. i'm in the middle of the fuc*in dancefloor dancing my arse off, some chic that i use to know from the infamous groovejet days gives me 2 little happy pills. the strongest shi* i've done to date. i remember bouncing so much that night my legs hurt for 2 days. then she invites me back to her room at the tiffany (the hotel) on collins and gives me a little strip action. what a fuckin night. let's just say she did things with a glowstick that would turn michael jackson black:eek: :tongue:

that was actually the one of many bliss/therapy events..Great night! my memories come from groovejet though. The cream party with dave seaman, slacker live, the light, steve lawler and cass in the back! wow - or the sasha and digweed night that year or how about way back to the tenaglia parties at groovejet - never forget danny rocking the place with carl cox and geoff oakes the owner of renaissance absolutely jamming on top of the bar! Now that was an unforgettable WMC memory! maybe this year will bring some new ones!
