-Syria has 3 billion of Iraq's money

-A deserter from the intelligence org in Syria claims they were smuggled there.

-It makes PERFECT sense!

Saddam's WMD hidden in Syria, says Iraq survey chief

By Con Coughlin

(Filed: 25/01/2004)

David Kay, the former head of the coalition's hunt for Iraq's weapons of mass destruction, yesterday claimed that part of Saddam Hussein's secret weapons programme was hidden in Syria.

In an exclusive interview with The Telegraph, Dr Kay, who last week resigned as head of the Iraq Survey Group, said that he had uncovered evidence that unspecified materials had been moved to Syria shortly before last year's war to overthrow Saddam.

"We are not talking about a large stockpile of weapons," he said. "But we know from some of the interrogations of former Iraqi officials that a lot of material went to Syria before the war, including some components of Saddam's WMD programme. Precisely what went to Syria, and what has happened to it, is a major issue that needs to be resolved."

Dr Kay's comments will intensify pressure on President Bashar Assad to clarify the extent of his co-operation with Saddam's regime and details of Syria's WMD programme. Mr Assad has said that Syria was entitled to defend itself by acquiring its own biological and chemical weapons arsenal.

Syria was one of Iraq's main allies in the run-up to the war and hundreds of Iraqi officials - including members of Saddam's family - were given refuge in Damascus after the collapse of the Iraqi dictator's regime. Many of the foreign fighters responsible for conducting terrorist attacks against the coalition are believed to have entered Iraq through Syria.

A Syrian official last night said: "These allegations have been raised many times in the past by Israeli officials, which proves that they are false."

No, because they were mostly destroyed after the first gulf war and their WMD program was halted from previous UN inspections.

That's funny because people with a lot more information than you seemed to have thought otherwise.

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line."

- President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program."

- President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

"Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face."

- Madeline Albright, Feb. 18, 1998

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983."

- Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb., 18, 1998

"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs."

- Letter to President Clinton, signed by Sens. Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, and others Oct. 9, 1998

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."

- Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998

"Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies."

- Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999

"There is no doubt that ... Saddam Hussein has invigorated his weapons programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In addition, Sadism continues to redefine delivery systems and is doubtless using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer-range missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies."

- Letter to President Bush, Signed by Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL,) and others, Dec, 5, 2001

"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandated of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and the means of delivering them."

- Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI), Sept. 19, 2002

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country."

- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power."

- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction."

- Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002

"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..."

- Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force-- if necessary-- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security."

- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002

"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years ... We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction."

- Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct. 10, 2002

"He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years, every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity. This he has refused to do"

-Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members .. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons."

- Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct. 10, 2002

"We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction."

- Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), Dec. 8, 2002

"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to Miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his

continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real.

These comments are static and don't reflect the fact that the CIA has been misleading our country, politicians, with false intelligence for the past 4 years. Do you honestly think the above politicians would repeat these thoughts after what is known about their weapons program (or lack of weapons program) now?

Even the chief weapons inspector that was hand picked by you're fraud of an administration has even said that the iraqi threat was exageratered. (see article *clicky* )

Come on dude... You can't be that gullable.

If you'd like I can regergitate some statements that republicans have made in the past 5-6 years that have been proven flatly false as well but that wouldn't prove my point. Kinda like the bullshit you've spewed.

So, now that you see Dems were on record saying the same things as Bush, you are off your lame ass "Bush lied" cry and now saying the CIA mislead everyone?......Or the CIA just mislead the Dems and Bush alone lied and exaggerated?.....

And I guess you should also condemn foreign intelligence agencies (including France and Germany) and UN weapons inspectors, since they had the same conclusions.....While you are at it, you should get on the U.N for wasting so much time passing resoultion after resolution on Iraq about WMD too.....

You are a fucking retard.....this post says it all about you and your stupid mentality

Interesting comment you made too: "you're fraud of an administration"........really show your true colors with that one douche bag...

Listen fuck nut. I believed that Iraq might have had chemical weapons too before the invasion. After all we gave them technology to do this. That is a fact. But after the invasion it was brought to light that they simply weren't there...even after constant assurance that "we know exactly were the wmd's are"

No weapons were found and it is the conclusion of weapons inspectors from the UN, and inspectors hand picked from the bush administration that they weren't there before the invasion and were probably destroyed after the gulf war so you can go fuck a flag pole if you don't like that.

You can't change the fact that there were simply no weapons found and the whole basis for this bullshit mess we are in is because this administration or the intelligence community (pick one) has mislead the american people, and the world.

My true colors? My true colors are for peace and it's obvious yours are for whatever big brother tells you. Start thinking for yourself, assface and you might not end up on the wrong side of history.

Let me get this straight...you too believed that there was WMD, despite your continual "Bush lied" rants from early on?

And you yet again state that "THIS" administration (and intelligence agency) mislead the American people and the world, yet the Dems, the U.N., former weapons inspectors, and foreign intelligence services did not mislead, although they had the same exact conclusions?

Do you realize what a dumb fuck you are?

I was wondering if you are going to blame the Iraq regime for MISLEADING anyone, since their behavior and actions had EVERYONE believing that WMD stockpiles still existed?

Remember, it was the responsibility of Iraq to PROVE they did not have any more WMD, and that they destroyed KNOWN stockpiles of WMD.......This regime kept detailed records of everything from weapons to the people they placed is mass graves

This never occurred, from 1998 to the start of the war douche bag....including complaince with resoultion 1441.....that little resolution that said prove you disarmed or face serious consequences.....you do remember that one, correct?

A former weapons inspector was interviewed today on TV--he admitted he was shocked WMD was not found......he indicated that when he was in Iraq before 1998, stockpiles existed...the Iraqis proved some were destroyed (based on accepted protocols), but would never prove that VX and anthrax was destroyed.....that the Iraqi behavior never indicated anything but deception and concealment.....they would be at the door of suspected sites, and satellite photos would show trucks leaving from the rear.....

To continue to say Bush mislead simply demonstrates you are a schmuck, especially in light of the fact that multiple entities all believed Iraq had WMD stockpiles...not just programs but stockpiles.....

If anyone who can not think for themselves, it is douche bags like you.....you simply want to stick to your anti-Bush rhetoric, even when it is clearly empty and baseless......as is your brain..

If you want to discuss this WMD mess as a massive intelligence failure, then so be it........it would not be the first time the intelligence community was wrong......as they were caught of gaurd by Pakistan's nuclear program and the recent news of proliferation, North Korea, Iran, Libya's nuke programs, and even during the 1991 Gulf War, when they discovered that Iraq's WMD programs far exceeded anything they predicted....(not to mention the belief that Al Qaeda would not hit the continental U.S.)

But to paint only Bush with the "mislead" brush while ignoring the fact that Dems, the UN, weapons inspectors, and foreign intelligence services had the same conclusions shows you are just an anti-Bush douche bag who has not joined reality.....

And that is just "great" you are for "peace"...give me a fucking break you child.......pull your head out of your ass and join reality......History had continually shown that lost retards like you have always been on the wrong side of history...and it will again.....

What a fucking joke you are.....

Once again... you are ignoring the facts poor igloo...just as Bush and his band of neo cons has... This administration molded a picture of Iraqi defiance to the world but in fact they had no weapons and it didn't matter that they based their conclusions on iraq from wmd data that was 10 years old.

Listen, I've said it before, Clinton has essentially the same policy towards Iraq as Bush but he didn't invade a country in the face of a UN veto and lie during his state of the Union address. Try arguing with facts next time, dick head, not blatent bullshit.
